A Texas family is hoping someone in South Florida can provide information about their daughter's death.
Julie Wills was murdered inside her Boca Raton home twelve years ago Monday.
Her parents, Nancy and Art Crum, and sister, Erin Harper, met with Boca Raton Police Monday.
Art Crum says Boca Raton Police Chief Dan Alexander pledged his continued support to assign resources and funds to this case.
The family is also hoping the public can provide information that will help lead to an arrest in the case.
"It's in my mind everyday. Everyday I live, I think about Julie and the case," says Art Crum.
Julie Wills lost her life at the age of 32 on April 14th, 1996.
That day, the Crum's lost one of their four children, their first little girl.
"I probably spoiled her a little and she loved her daddy and I loved her," says Art Crum.
"I miss those little touches that were Julie... just the mother-daughter things," says Nancy Crum.
Julie's family and investigators believe someone in the area knows something about the murder.
The aspiring model and actress was violently stabbed in her east Boca Raton home.
"I think it was a crime of anger and passion. I think it's someone she knew very well and I think they got carried away," says Art Crum.
Art Crum says now, for the first time, he feels that he would be able to forgive the killer.
Police hope new DNA technology will help them solve the case.
"Until we have substantial evidence and we have somebody in custody, we're not ruling out boyfriends, neighbors, acquaintances or people who are particularly unknown to the victim," says Boca Raton Police Detective Scott Hanley.
The Crum's visit Boca Raton this time each year. This year, Julie's sister and parents made yet another plea to the public for information.
Nancy says it is not necessarily for closure, but for Julie.
"There isn't any closure if you've lost a child, that's it for us, but at least we feel like we've done everything we can for Julie and for the rest of the family," says Nancy Crum.
Julie's family hopes someone will provide the missing pieces to this puzzle.
It would be information that would help them honor the missing member of their family.
"Being her mother, I carried her in my womb for nine months and now I just carry her in my heart," says Nancy Crum.
"It never should've happened... never should've happened," adds Art Crum.
The Crum family attended a mass at St. Joan of Arc Sunday in Julie's honor.
Anyone with information about the Julie Wills murder is urged to contact Detective Hanley at the Boca Raton Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-458-TIPS.
Crime Stoppers callers can remain anonymous.
