I'm curious about this murder, didn't look like someone who'd get in troubles.

By Freddie Mooche
(AXcess News) Washington - She was president of the student body, popular and had everything going for her until she was found shot dead at close range, execution style.
University of North Carolina student, 22-year-old Eve Marie Carson, was killed by a gunshot wound to her right temple in a Chapel Hill NC neighborhood somewhere around 5am Wednesday.
UNC authorities along with NC police are baffled over the UNC student's murder and so far have no leads as to the motive behind her shooting. Police are calling it a 'random act of violence" at this stage.
Friday, authorities said that Carson's car, a blue 2005 Toyota Highlander, was found a couple of blocks west of where she lived but that her keys were not in it. A resident in the area supposedly called police about the car Thursday. NC forensics officers are examining Carson's car for evidence, but in a statement they said the radio was still in it and that nothing appeared to have been taken out, though they're asking for anyone who saw her Toyota sometime after 1:30am Wednesday to notify the police.
In an unrelated shooting, 18-year-old Lauren Burk, an Auburn Alabama University student was found shot and wounded Tuesday night. Burk died from her wounds. The family has set up a fund to help identify her killer. Authorities are saying there is nothing to link the Auburn University student's shooting to Carson's death Wednesday morning.
Eve Carson was a senior at the University of North Carolina and her home was in Athens, Georgia. She was a Morehead-Cain scholar and a North Carolina Fellow, taking part in a four-year leadership development program for undergraduates. A premed student, she majored in political science and biology, taught science at a Chapel Hill elementary school, studied abroad in Cuba and spent summers volunteering in Ecuador, Egypt and Ghana as part of a school program.
