Right on the heels of their 2.50/2.60 downgrader, Dark_Alex, Mathieulh, and Yoshihiro have just released a working 1.50 to 1.00 downgrader!
The downgrader uses a method similar to that of the 2.50/2.60 downgrader. At first it was considered impossible, as there was no IPL writing code for 1.00 (since it comes in the update EBOOT file). However, they discovered they could patch the file so that it would write the 1.00 IPL instead o ...read more |

But be warned. I can confirm that the new 2.7 update does block the GTA hack/security hole to its entirety, and that you will no longer be able to use homebrew on your PSP if you do decide to update.
Here are all the goodies coming in 2.7: Network: - [Internet Browser] now supports Macromedia Flash contents playback. *You need to enable the Flash contents playback in the [System Settings]. *The version of the flash ...read more |

InnerFire Project has released a new corrupt data remover for the PSP, a PC application which removes corrupt data icons on 1.5 firmware PSPs, that are generated when using kXploit. Although there are a few other corrupt icon removers already out there, the more options there are, the more compatibility, so good work guys! The application requires .NET Framework v2, so make sure to download that before running.

I have released a new loader XTREME LOADER 2.6 [similar to RunUMD] which is responsible for booting 2.60 required UMD’s on firmware version 1.50.
The goal of this Loader, similar to RunUMD, is to launch an ORIGINAL UMD 2.6 on all the other Firmware versions without making the necessary FW update to play, and thus keeping the possibility of playing back-ups and others’ homebrew too on 1.5.
Installation is relatively simp ...read more |

Genesis UMD Loader 2.6 is used with what?
The goal of this Loader, similar to RunUMD, is to launch an ORIGINAL UMD 2.6 on all the other Firmware versions without making the necessary FW update to play, and thus keeping the possibility of playing back-ups and others' homebrew too on 1.5. NOTE: Install the Loader in PSP/GAME, and the file "X" has the root of the MS.
Attention: It may be that the folder &qu ...read more |

Dark_AleX has released the latest version of his DAX ZISO loader, allowing you to load ISO images of games (we do not promote piracy, you must acquire the images of the games you own on your own) on your memory stick on your firmware 1.5 PSP (with a UMD present in drive bay).
New features/fixes in v0.4: Added 4 new emulation modes: System Menu - MPHGL MPHGL - VSH Exec DirectLoad - LoadExec MPHGL - LoadExec. read more |

A company named Future is planning to launch a new magazine called the Official PSP Guidebook, a magazine dedicated soley to the PSP, hence the name, for sale in the UK.
But that's not what makes this magazine special. What does make it special is that it will be the first magazine to offer free 'cover-mounted UMD demo discs' with every issue. Cool, huh?
But it would definitely be nice to see such o ...read more |
