In the year 2130 a totalitarian party came to power in France. Under their rule all liberties were stripped away and all French citizens were forced to live under the rule of Adrien Burr and his all-knowing advisors.

At first it had been easy to seek refuge elsewhere, and many fled to Britain, but that was before the violations of citizens' rights had ensued. The portal to freedom closed rapidly after the censorship began: any magazines, books, pamphlets, films, television programs or music that contained anti-establishment material was permanently banned.

Before they knew it suspicious people were put under surveillance and everyone in France was wary of the Paris Guard, people who would use any opportunity to exploit an individual, specfically ones who posed a threat to the State.

Now in 2140, a mere ten years later, the situation in France has gone from bad to worse. The government shows no regard for individualism or private behavior. Everything is subject to analysis except the government itself. And political opposition is crushed before it even gets itself started.

Young children now aspire to be a part of the Paris Guard, they aspire to spy on their friends, parents and siblings, to report them to higher authority and have them punished. The youth of France is being poisoned against their elders by the ideas of Adrien Burr, his Advisors and his High Council.

Some Frenchmen won't stand for this oppression any longer and a resistance movement is taking shape, will it lead to liberation or be crushed before anything can be done to weaken the power of Adrien Burr and his monstrously nefarious government?

Those of the resistance are unwilling to give up, even if it means seeing their city burn; Paris in flames.
