Biowar is pretty popular and I think it should be more successful. Far more successful. In terms of sheer pleasure Biowar delivers a one-two knockout punch to its competition. You need to play this now.

---

Difficulty: Medium (UV)

It's not particularly hard and co-operative play reduces the challenge further, but this is the wad you want to download Legacy for. If you can only play Biowar on single player mode you are missing out.

---

Gameplay: Excellent

Biowar is fun. It's exciting, interesting, cool. Even the inevitable Baphomet fight is fun without hitting switches to jump on a stupid platform. You can play Biowar for pleasure or you can go for 100% everything. Either way is good.

You should find a copy of this wad as soon as possible. If you're reading this you probably know ten places to get it. Download Legacy and have some two-player madness.

Highlights: Superb playability with maximum replay value. Some of the maps look good. Co-op mode is excellent.

Lowlights: Nothing.

---

Aesthetics: Good

Some of the maps are really impressive. There's a forest level which has got to be the best I've seen. Most map makers avoid this type of terrain altogether. To them, a tree is a brown stub which sticks out of scorched earth. Biowar actually has trees with a forest canopy overhead. The theme becomes more hellish as you play through the maps. Regardless, the strength of Biowar is in its frantic sense of fun.

Overall Score: 8/10

Pros:
- This map has the je ne sais qua, the va va voom, the X factor. It's almost magical to play.
- Amazing forest-themed map.
- Co-op is brilliant.

Cons:
- None really.
