The WRRV (92.7/96.9 FM) morning hosts this week will be collecting food and money for those who need it and offering a shot at winning an electric guitar signed by the band Green Day.

Morning hosts Andrew Boris and Sarah Nenni from Tuesday through Friday will visit Hannaford Supermarkets on both sides of the Hudson River, collecting canned foods and cash for the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley.

The money will be used to purchase turkeys for Thanksgiving for those who cannot afford to purchase their own.

The Hannaford schedule for Nenni and Boris, who is also the WRRV program director, is:

Wednesday, 5 Corners, New Windsor.


Thursday, Route 211, Middletown.


Friday, Route 9, Wappingers Falls.

Anyone who drops by to visit Boris and Nenni will be entered to win the Green Day guitar. The winner will be announced Nov. 21, during the WRRV morning show.
