The Companion

To Sam my dog.

Big,staring, brown eyes.
Brown and golden fur.
Head so full of when's and why's.
He is the companion to her.

He's there through thick and thin.
Even through and through.
And I bet that if he was your friend,
He'd be there for you.

Chewing everything.
Jumping around chasing a ball.
Walking around with not a care.
Tail waging and all.

Panting on the hot days.
Curled up on the cold.
She will love him always.
Until they're dead or old.

*still a bit teary eyed* No problem! Now we can all have puppies, but plz spay and nueter your pets becuz there are WAY too many animals being "put down" in pounds and shelters are over-flowing! *runs and plays with puppies*

lol now I wanna go hug my doggy! *goes and hugs smokey* (that's my dog's name)

My mom and I call our Chihuahua Sam "Samuel John" becuz my dad's name is Daniel John and they sound the same. lmao!

Thats beautiful, reminds my of the dog I had. I got him when I was 4 and he died when I was 16, will never forget the darling

Lol. I would suppose so. You know if dogs could take they would probably be very smart, cuz they have LOTZ os time to think... lol But I think birds probably swear like me- I mean like sailors.. lol. I had to add the thing about the birds cuz my mom's evil bird is near me like sqwauking her freakin' head off! <_<

awesome, and good poem, although there's one thing I would change, I would add 'too' He'd be there for you, right there... I would have it say, 'He'd be there for you too.' but that's just me.

I was wondering two things, 1.) How old are you? and 2.) How long have you been writing poetry?

lol i've been known to do that with my mums cat hehe. At least i am not alone!
