[complete plot]

The death of Dumbledore, at the end of Harry’s sixth year, seemed to shock the whole wizarding community. No one felt safe not even in their own homes. There was the question of the school reopening in the fall but no one knew the answer at least not yet. Rumors flew about as a new curfew was instated having everyone be inside before dusk. Families became closer and feared at any moment that someone would come knocking at their door. While everyone else was hiding and running home Harry set out to do what he was supposed too, what Dumbledore had showed him.

That summer right after Bill and Fleur’s wedding, he along with Ron and Hermione set out to find the rest of Voldemort's Horcruxes. There was much protest between Ron and Hermione but Harry knew there was no use. Ginny on the other hand made a scene about not be able to go as well and drastic measures had to be taken. Hermione took Ginny aside to reassure her that everything would be fine and the boys Appprated on the other side of the house with out Ginny seeing them. When Ginny realized what had happened she turned to Hermione which had all ready done the same leaving Ginny standing there her mouth agape.

It took a while, of course, but Harry, remembering Dumbledore's advice and with help from Ron, Hermione, Lupin, and others, seemed to crack Voldemort's complicated code to find the Horcruxes that nobody really ever knew existed. Destroying them brought a sense of closure to Harry about the death of his greatest mentor, and brought him closer to his best friends, Ron and Hermione. One downside, however, to their departure from the Burrow was Harry's relationship with Ginny. While he missed her, a greater and greater gap was drawing between them. By the end of the summer, Harry knew they'd never be the same again.

--------------------------------------------------------

Without defeating Voldemort, but finding five of his six Horcruxes, Harry knew he had to return to Hogwarts. While he was bent on destroying the thing that had killed his parents, godfather, and mentor, he knew that they would all be deeply disappointed if Harry did not recieve his full education. So Harry returned to Hogwarts, still Quidditch captain of the highly successful Gryffindor team. Hermione and Ron were closer than ever, while Ginny had gone back to dating other boys. There was a sadness in her eyes, however, when she looked at Harry. But they both ignored it, bound and determined to move on.

Amazingly enough, the school year progressed well. Slughorn stayed on, and a new defense teacher came to the school, much better, in everyone's opinion, than Snape. The teacher, a girl, was smart and took a liking to Harry. Such a liking in fact, that one day, as they sat and drank tea, she unintentionally unvealed the last Horcrux to Harry, the brooch of Rowena Ravenclaw.

Christmas time was always a cheery season at Hogwarts, but the absense of Dumbledore sends nearly every student home, including the two Weasleys, Harry, and Hermione, all back to the Burrow for the holidays. However, the train ride home was even more horrific than the Dementor search of third year, and more shocking than the ride home after the funeral sixth year. The Auror-guarded train stopped about an hour from Hogsmeade, being attacked by Voldemort's Death Eaters, and this time, even "graced" by the presense of the Dark Lord himself. Curses flew, bodies fell, and somehow, in the midst of it all, Voldemort and Harry found each other, and as the prophecy had told, Harry killed the Dark Lord.

Of course, there were casualties, but most were glad that the reign of Voldemort was finally over. Harry was exaulted, of course, and the dead were mourned. Among the dead were Auror Kingsley Shacklebolt, Dean Thomas, Padma Patil, Dennis Creevy, Michael Corner, Ernie MacMillan, Zacharius Smith, Susan Bones, Wayne Hopkins, Blaise Zabini, Bellatrix Lestrange, Pansy Parkinson, Vincent Crabbe, Peter Pettigrew, and of course, Voldemort. Among the injured were Tonks, Ginny, and Draco. Many students were hurt, but not many were proclaimed dead, much to the joy of their parents, who all thought their children incredibly brave to have fought against Voldemort's Death Eaters.

After the holidays, many students who had not returned to Hogwarts after Dumbledore's death came back to the school now that the threat of Voldmort was over. Gryffindor lost the Quidditch cup by ten points to Ravenclaw, but everyone was still happy with Slytherin's last place finish. Hermione finished top of the class, and things were looking up for their futures.

--------------------------------------------------------

Harry since he graduated wasn’t sure which field of magic to go into until the Ministry practically pleaded with him to become an Auror. True he was weighing his options towards this career but with his great dislike of the Ministry that just wasn't a place he wanted to work at. That was until he met a girl named Megan. Megan and Harry met at Diagon Alley the normal way, by bumping into each other. He spilt his drink that he was carrying and she dropped her books. In the beginning Harry wanted nothing to do with her; she was just some random person. But over time he saw her more and more and started to like her. Shortly after their first meeting he asked her on a date and much to his surprise she said yes.

Harry felt closer to Megan then anyone ever before, even closer then to his two best friends. Over time they became and couple and the topic of Harry's future came along. Megan urged Harry to become an Auror that it would be good to be in touch with the Ministry. Be part of the group that would keep crime down in the magical world, after much consideration he went for it.

Now being busy with starting your career, trying to keep a relationship together, and trying to stay in touch with your friends can be hard at times. Harry was finding it harder and harder to do, and something has to give. Gradually he lost touch with his friends, the ones that were the closest to him. But all the while he was still with Megan; Megan was his rock, his strength when he needed it. A year or so went by with only a few letters and cards to his friends, and if he would have tried to keep in touch just a little longer he would have learned that Ron and finally got the nerve to propose the Hermione and that they were getting married in the fall of 2000.

--------------------------------------------------------

Yes the idea seemed crazy to some but not to Ron and Hermione’s closet friends and family. They knew the pair had cared for each other for a long time, since Hogwarts. Ron sent out an invitation to Harry all most as soon as Hermione had said yes. Of course Ron was going to ask to Harry to be his best man he wouldn’t have it any other way. Ron expected an answer all most immediately if not sooner, he was even waiting for Harry to beat down his door, but no answer came. So the next day something was to be expected right? No answer then either. Ron couldn’t help but think Harry was ignoring him but pushed that out of his mind. Wedding plans were to be made and he didn’t want to alarm Hermione just yet. Weeks passed still there was no word from Harry. Weeks turned into months and Ron finally got tired of waiting, he had sent new letters every other week or so and none of them came back with a reply.

Ron began to get really worried. His friend of many years would not just ignore him no matter how severe the circumstance. A couple more days went by, now a letter a day was being sent to Harry, but still he went unanswered. The wedding day drew ever closer, the plans bogging down Ron's thoughts momentarily, but every night he would go to sleep thinking the same thing. Why wouldn't Harry answer him? Finally, after nearly a year of worrying, Ron decided he needed to drop Harry a visit. Running the plans over with Hermione, he apparated to Harry's neighborhood.

To his great surprise, Harry was delighted to see Ron. He was ecstatic that his old friend finally decided to drop in for a visit. When Ron told Harry the news of the letters, Harry was baffled. Never had he caught wind of a single letter, or even a single word or Ron's marriage. He was, of course, happy for the couple, but a foreboding sense of fear was stuck in the pit of his stomach. Nothing like this had happened to him since the days of Hogwarts and Dobby. Why, now of all times, would something be happening? After catching up, Ron gave Harry all of the details of the wedding, the date, time, and place.

That night, Megan arrived at the house to an exuberant Harry. She was happy for him; at least she pretended to be. Harry gave Megan all the news of Ron's visit, and he even explained to her about how his letters weren't making it to him. In the back of Megan's mind a sense of pride was coming, but it was being crushed down with the ever looming guilt she had been getting lately. She was the one that had been stealing Harry's letters, upon orders of course.

-------------------------------------------------------

Megan appeared to be the trusting loving girlfriend but she wasn't. She was working for the new Dark Lord, and had been for quite sometime. She was ordered to keep Ron and Harry apart, far apart and her plain had failed. Reluctantly she was dragged to the wedding of Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. She was forced to smile and be gracious, after all she had captured the boy-who-lived heart hadn't she? Being very uncomfortable the only person she really clicked with was Ginny. In the beginning Harry was a little worried, but that feeling had passed as soon as he had another drink of wine.

Megan was informed that very night she needed to keep wedging her way in between the famous trio. Now that Ron and Hermione were married it should have been all too easy. The directions came from none other then Ginny Weasley herself. Apparently she had been advising the whole plot all along. It seemed to no one other them Megan, that Ginny had tasted a greater power then good a long time ago. Ginny had the mark of a dark wizard, but it seemed all were blind to it, expect Megan. Megan’s true job was to win Harry Potter over and then learn all she could about him, more then Ginny ever could.

But there seemed to be a little hitch that neither Megan nor Ginny did see. Megan was falling fast for Harry and had to frequently remind herself that is was just a job. Eventually over time like planned Harry and Megan gotten married and seemed like the perfect married couple. With in three years of their marriage, Harry and Megan had their first child, along with Ron and Hermione [this would be five years after their marriage]. The girls were pregnant together and seemed to bond, even if it was just a little, during that time.

-------------------------------------------------------

Time passed even more quickly over the next few years. Soon their children and their friend’s children were grown, ready to attend Hogwarts like their parents before them. All though Megan was now married to Harry and they had kids together she knew she had a job to do. She wasn’t there to be loved by him, but she couldn’t help but soften her glance every time she looked at him. Megan knew that she would have to turn their children against him soon while they could still be molded easily. She had to at least try before their father pushed good into them.

Working to get at least one of her children to follow her was a tiring task and she all most gave up. Before succeeding in getting the oldest girl to side with her there was news of the Dark Lord. All of the children seemed to be frightened and clung to their dad for dear life. Megan silently cursed Ginny for moving so soon and couldn’t gain the trust of any of their children or so she thought. Megan pretended to be as panicked as she was and was furious that she wasn’t kept in the loop about this. Soon the threat of the Dark Lord seemed to only be rumors and everything went back to normal for a while.

Six years later there was another rumor floating around about the Dark Lord but most dismissed it. There was no way he could be back, he had died hadn’t he? Three years after that there was a massive muggle killing right inside the city limits of Surry England. The Muggle police said it was due to a gas explosion in a faulty line under the streets. But this got Harry to thinking, it reminded him of the time Peter had faked his own death. Harry dismissed the theory like most of the wizarding world, all though there was this voice in the back of his head telling him not to.

-------------------------------------------------------

The truth was there was a new Dark Lord and she was something no one had ever seen before. Fueled by power no one had ever seen and a revenge for the boy-who-lived. Ginny Weasley was determined to see him fall at any means necessary. But would Harry wake up and see it before it was too late?
