Yesterday was a sad day. Our friend's Mom passed away. I've known Dave all my life. When I met Jake, he was introduced to Dave and they became great friends and of course, Dave was our best man. Your friend's Mom becames like a Mom to you in that they genuinely care and want the best for you. She was at my Mom's funeral and it was so wonderful to see her. It's so hard to lose special people that have been in your life forever. :(

Sorry for the loss, Gwen. Of course the upside of these times is that they were in our lives at all.

I know Gwen it's hard to lose someone that has always been there for us. I lost my mother and my life long friend within 3 mos. of each other...both had raised me. Jewell was terminally ill with cancer but she pulled herself together to come to my mother's funeral. She was with my Mom when I was born and died on my 51st birthday. You will always miss them but as Susanne said they were in our lives...that is special.

I am really sorry for your friend Dave's loss and I know both you and Jake will miss her too. (grh)

Gwen, to all things there is a season, as well we all know. You and Jake will be a comfort to David, and he to you. Your two Mom's will be happy together again. :wub: (grh)

I understand the "having them in our lives" and the "season" but these past 12 months have just sucked - to be blunt :unsure: But life marches on; good and bad.

There are so many people missing now but I have to tell you I cherish everyone else a lot. :wub:

We are blessed to have people we love to with whom to share our lives...I treasure all of you so much... :wub:
