Title: Are you in the mood for the holidays?
NJO - December 8, 2005 09:51 PM (GMT)
How many are? I am so reclusive right now...just too much trouble to be social.
Gwen - December 8, 2005 10:04 PM (GMT)
Jo....you appear to be the opposite of anti-social!!
I love this time of the year. I am not a fan of big parties but I do really enjoy the smaller gatherings of people I actually know.
But, I am so looking forward to Christmas Day because it's just our family and the week following which we both have taken off. Every year since the Sopranos were released on DVD, we have watched the entire season during our break!!!

We always watch Christmas Vacation with Chevy Chase on Christmas night after dinner. That's always good for a laugh. I'm not in a great Christmas mood yet, but maybe when my daughter comes home, which I think is the 21st. And then Kim is coming the 31st so I am very excited about that. s#P

We have a potluck Sunday which will be nice, except I will need to cook something! I am just not wanting to go shopping...Liz will brighten up your mood Susanne. Gwen just being together will be so nice...nothing like just relaxing at home.
Gwen - December 9, 2005 04:30 PM (GMT)
Jo ...shopping can be a pain  This year I really thought out what I wanted to give and I know the stores that will have what I want. I stay away from malls if at all possible.
Susanne....we watch Christmas Vacation on Christmas Eve!!
You and Kim will be celebrating New Years together l1wv

Want that be great fun for Susanne and Kim?

Hi Gals, I really want to be in the holiday spirit this year and I am really going to try my hardest. I have my dining room table all set with my Christmas dishes and wine glasses and candles and such so at least when I walk in there it's beginning to look a little like Christmas. We still don't have our tree up or any decorations and I really want that done! The guys are so busy all the time and it is impossible for me to get the decorations down by myslef. We have a party tonight, Joe and Dan are going to look at another college tomorrow and Billy is working a shift at the firehouse. Oh well.....anyone wanna come over and help and drink some wine??? s#P Maureen

Hey Mo, don't go thinking we haven't noticed that that is the second time you mentioned wine.
Yes, having Liz home will help a lot. She usually has an open house at Christmas, has for the past five years anyway and she wasn't going to this year so I wasn't going to decorate the family room. Well, the open house is on again oOm . That will really get me in the spirit because her and I do all the stuff for the party together. Last years was the biggest....25 people showed up. Well, that's big for me anyway, I never have anyone here for anything.
Yes, isn't it cool that Kim and I will be together to ring in the New Year. bdpty
