Title: Winter Season Aches...
NJO - December 8, 2005 05:32 PM (GMT)
We are having a very cold, rainy day here and hopefully are going to escape the winter weather advisory ... is it just me or do others with arthritis have more problems in the cold, damp winter season? I also remember being told that the change of seasons many times bring on a flare in lupus. I have also heard it is the change in barometric pressure that causes the aches to be worse.
Do any of you have ideas on why this is so? I miss Marti! :(

Jo, My Mom has bad arthritis and she does complain that the cold weather makes it worse, and she always is talking about the barometric pressure. Is it true or an old wive's tale? Never can tell I guess. Weather never seems to affect my aches...just overdoing it. I vacumed yesterday with this damn cracked rib, or whatever it is, and boy oh boy I am hurting today!! :( Mo

Speaking of snow oOm we are supposed to get 1 - 3 inches today, and maybe more overnight. It is freezing here...17 degrees as a low today. BRRRRR! s:D

Maureen! 39 lashes with a wet noodle for you my girl! :) Seriously, you need to baby those ribs for awhile...let'em heal. I know it must be so painful...are you taking the pain meds? Do so if you have too! Don't let yourself hurt...

WHOA...did we get hit with snow yesterday! oOm (0) My sister works at Ohare Airport and the trip home that usually takes 45 minutes took 3 hours! The guys had to do our drivieway twice and then again this morning. (Joe is a perfectionist about snow removal...go figure) s:D I sat and watched the snow falling for quite a long time yesterday. I love that! Maureen oOm

Wow, hairy incident at the other Chicago airport last night, hmm? Too, too bad about the little fellow who was killed. :(
We got some snow but not as much as they expected and they called off tomorrow's which was supposed to add to this mess. Apparently this "front" went out to sea. I hope it stays there

I was beginning to worry about you, Susanne. I was reading the report on MSN and thinking her power may be out! Glad to see you posting. It was so sad about the little boy and the man in Texas who left his overturned truck and froze to death.
We were fortunate and only had rain and it is really cold now! Have I said that I don't like winter?
