I am so afraid he will not like my taking T3...he is a TSH man. I want tell him unless I have to, but I need ammo if he tests my TSH. I found an article on Bob's Furl archive that he would appreciate, if he'd read it, but I'd appreciate any advice or articles to show him that some patients just need both T4 and T3.

You should feel comfortable discussing these issues with your doctor, Jo. If he is single minded, perhaps you need a new doctor who will listen. You're the one who must live in your body.

I have so few doctors available to me...most are so ignorant of AD. I live in a rural area...but my insurance will change before long and this might give me more options.

Well I saw my MD today...he just renewed my meds and told me to keep doing whatever I was doing...'cause I was doing good. I think I probably annoyed him because I complained about the smoke smell from my brother's cigarettes hurting me and Dr. smokes...he is usually friendly and joking...short and to the point. Well he shouldn't be smoking...if I made him feel guilty...may be he'll think about it himself ( not). <s>

Do any of you suffer from white coat syndrome? I do badly! :lol: BP was 148/88 and that was with 1/2 a xanax! :lol:

Most of my doctors make my blood pressure go up, but I'm not sure why...probably because they aggravate me so much! :angry: Happy for you that everything seemed to go good for you with your doctor visit. And who cares about his feelings towards smoking!! The knucklehead would probably scold you if you were smoking, right? Like I said...they all need a good slap every once in a while (0)
