Thanx Jo!
The allergist was not happy that my doc gave me a such a scare. I am fine. I have learned that you need to see the right docs when you have certain infections i.e. sinus for me - the others don't have a clue. They didn't keep me on the antibiotics long enough and the infection came back although not nearly as bad. So I am back on antibiotics and orders to rest and no airline travel until I am cured.
I can restart the allergy shots once I am well and we'll see how I do with no infection to contend with. He mentioned that women often have problems with the dosing of the shots - we are more sensitive! He also thinks that the shots will help me with the infections so I am going to be a good girl and listen to the doc so I can resume taking them.
The allergist and my husband really hit it off. I am to listen to my husband when he tells me to take it easy!!!

That is good to hear, Gwen. It is really aggravating when a doctor doesn't know what he's doing. Good that you have this that both you and your husband like...getting the hubby involved is great. He will see if you are over doing and remind you... :)

Gwen, I'm happy to hear that you have some help and hope for this situation. I hope things go smoothly from here on.
Is "no airline travel" going to present a problem for you? Do you travel much?
Yes, listen to your hubby and take it as easy as possible.
And keep us posted on how you are doing. (grh)

We do travel frequently but I do understand why the lousy air in the planes presents a problem so I will stop for now. It's more important to get well.
You know the longer we're together the more I do listen and appreciate how much he cares about me - it's a lovely feeling.

Hi Maureen...we've been together since high school and married for 30 years. We had a couple of rough years in the mid 90's but once we "smartened up" our life (once again) was very good - we love to do things together and he's a great traveling companion. :D

I sure hope so Marti....although I am fairly strong when I have to deal with tough situations, it sure is wonderful to know I don't have to go it alone.
My warm and fuzzy feeling includes you and Arch

I appreciate couples like you all who are together and working as a team...supporting one another and helping each other through the hard times. But equally dedicated to having a good life together.
