Title: Dehydrated?

Susanne - October 31, 2005 08:13 PM (GMT)
I have been having a problem with being so darn cold all the time and I was also aware that I had not been drinking enough, so yesterday I forced the liquids a little; I had a small glass of OJ with breakfast, I had a can of ginger ale with lunch, a can of lemon lime soda with dinner, and made sure I finished my quart bottle of water and guess what? I wasn't cold after that. Is there a connection or am I nuts?

You may be on to something, dehydration would decrease blood volume and thus could decrease circulation...this would lead to being cold. Now, drink, girl , drink! ;)

Hey Susanne....you always add some gin to that lemon lime soda and that will help warm you up!! :D

Thanks for the tip (or should I say tipsy), Gwen.

Jo, the decreased blood volume/circulation thing you said made sense. I'll try to do better. P*<

Susanne, I drink SO MUCH during the day that after one hospital stay my Endo told me to cut down on the liquids. She thought it might have been contributing to my low sodium problems. Did I listen to her...for about a week I did! Maureen

It's like a balance, isn't it. You can drink too much and flush your sodium away or not enough and have other problems. I wish this was easier to figure out. I also wish it was easier for me to drink. I just don't want to

I used to drink and flush until I was near crisis stage. Urine was like clear as pure water...that is not so good. It is a balancing act... l1wv
