Title: Do not enjoy winter...

NJO - October 25, 2005 07:58 PM (GMT)
I really do not like cold weather! I am just wanting to hold up in my bed and sleep! I wish I were more energitic, but I am absolutely not a winter person...

How do those that live further north or like Kim in Alaska or Canada handle the cold? I am so moody when the days are cold and cloudy...

Maybe I need one of those light boxes! Sit in front of it and dream of warmer days...

You and me too Jo. I had to make myself shower and shampoo today, not because I was sick, just cold. My hair has grown long enough to blow dry now so at least I wasn't losing body heat out of a wet head when we went shopping.

There are full spectrum lights available - I was going to look into that but the money went into the car last year when we hit a deer in January...$500 deductible :o

Carol bought some silk long underwear for skiing and cold weather and she loves them...I'm also considering that. It's only 40 outside and I was shivering in a heavy sweatshirt, so added a sweat sweater.

Stay warm and cozy tonight  Marti

Will do! I have heard that the silk undies are really warm...I am getting so not into how I look lately...run a brush through my hair and well if it falls well ... good, but otherwise forget it!

I am so needing those lights!

Silk long johns are 'THE WAY TO GO!! I love mine,,,they are thin enough to wear under jeans, etc...and really make a difference....I get one new pair every winter as I wear them out and always want to have a pair on hand. I find that Campmoor catalog has the best prices on them. they are on-line... order away all you cold folks!! Me, winter is my favorite after the fall..!! I love the cold...although not looking forward to the oil bill this yr.
