Title: Starting Westward Tomorrow

Had a lot of explaining to do about why I needed yet another RX for cortisone at the doc's office, <_< but they did call in 60 pills for me - do you think that will be enough Jo? They are easy to cut. While they are still white, they'll all be halved and quartered, so should be easier to keep track of. Arch sees his PCP tomorrow - he needs new RX's on 3 meds. It gets so confusing trying to keep our meds straight - I had one of my bottles in with his meds!

Do you have any of those daily or even weekly pill boxes....sounds like you could use some!!
I have taken ww for yrs....no problems...
Just need to still have 10's to make the 2.5 mg doses....

I am getting the 2.5 's from Westward mostly...are you allowed 60 per month? With refills? That would be 2 a day and most days you want use that much but hopefully you will be able to explain that the other prescription wasn't what you ordered and so you had to change brands of generics and strengths.

Diane I use two weekly pill minders! One for rx's and the other for supplements. (28 pills a day) I don't usually fill both of our weekly rx's the same day, but Arch has that appointment in the morning so had to make sure he gets refills on the ones that need it. His are for heart arythmias, blood thinners and Plavix to keep the stents from throwing little clots.
It's good to hear you do well on WW, thanks for your response.

not sure if this applies when you guys are talking about having enough, zac's dr just rewrote his prescription for his HC to be his daily dosage plus extra's for stress dosing. so we used to get 120 pills, now we get 180 (2 month supply) and with my insurance i still pay the same $15.00 -

You know I only pay about $ 21 plus change for 100 20 mg. Westward HC. I have a discount card from Caremark which takes a little off but the Westward is pretty cheap...so even without insurance it's affordable. We need extras for stress dosing and I just feel more secure having a good supply.

I paid $8 for a months supply, but the doc wouldn't hesitate to order extra for stress dosing - good idea. Still have 90 from Merk, so it isn't an emergency, plus the 1mg and 5mg Prednisone on the shelf. I'll have to try splitting that quarter pill. It seems to me it would be a big job! I also have some generic 10's. So far, I feel fine - the low pressure system is out of here and took my body pains with it. Who could ask for anything more? B)
