^A^ Prayers for a quick recovery Kim!! I'm so sorry you have to go to the evil room...I never like that place.
(grh)
Let us know how you're doing when you can...

Hope you're feeling much better this morning Kim  Much as I dislike the Evil Room, sometimes it's the place we need to be.
Sending Love and Healing Thoughts.

Is Kim home yet? Had she been sick...did I miss something..? I am so spacey....
are they keeping her overnight for the fluids?
It is soooo hot here...and I didn't get my ac's in yet.....so today I ended up in my basement on some quilts on the hard floor....this is not a finished basement...and I didn't even care....it was just so much cooler.....
Tomorrow the rest of the fans come out and the a/c's go in the windows.....

Hey I am alive! I had a very emotional stressful day yesterday. Ended up vomiting a few times, discomfort in my chest, then giving myself shot of solu-cortef. Could not get control of myself and the crying. Called the doctor and she suggested I go in and get fluids and get checked out. They gave me fluids, did lots of blood work, including heart enzymes, chest xray and EKG. Everything came back fine. The doctor said since I am a female over 50 I should get a nuclear stress test. I do not want that dye in my body. All the EKGs I have had have been normal. I believe it was anxiety. Will call my doctor later this week. What do you think? (grh) Thanks for your concern and support my friends. (grh)

One thing I realized at the ER is that everyone needs a list of the medications they are taking, dosage and how many times a day. Always carry an updated list!!
This hospital was crazy. I guess they never wrote anything down because 5 people asked me what medication I was taking. To have to remember all that was crazy. I learned my lesson.

Glad to hear you are feeling better and that you had a decent er experience. I have always had a list of my meds in my emergency kit and take it with me to the er each time. It helps alot....because they do ask you over and over again what are you taking and how much. I couldn't remember the dosages so I wrote them down. I also have all the lovely quirks of my body listed....such as allergies to antibiotics and asthma. They usually just make a copy and attach it to my chart.
Well you get better. I wish I lived closer and we could go out to lunch and have a good b**** session....hee hee

So happy to hear that you're feeling better, Kim. It's awful to feel like you did but I'm glad they took good care of you. Better to check everything.
You cut it close to your departure....I hope everything remains stable for you.
When you talk about meds, do you list the supplements as well? I was told that some supplements can have a detrimental affect on meds & your doc should know what you're taking.

I carry a list of all my meds and supplements with me and give the doc the latest one every time I see him. I update on the saved computer copy whenever a change is made. (grh)

I keep my list on the computer but I need to print a copy...also it needs updating. THis is a good thing to have as it is very hard to remember all the meds we take.

When Zac had his 'addisonian crisis" last december and was first diagnosed, we went to visit the guys at our fire station after he got home from the hospital and they gave us these little RED emergency plastic envelope type things that contain a form you list your medical condition, meds you take, name dob etc and attach to the refrigerator, so now on my refrigerator we have 3, one for zac, one for me, and one for my mil. The emt's, firefighters, say it's the easiest way to get info, grap it off the fridge and everything is there. not sure if every fire dept has them, but great idea, not that i have a life threatening condition, but i know my husband doesn't know what i take for medication and neither of us know what my mil takes.

Hmmmmm that's a great idea....have been 'meaning to' visit my fire/ambulance station for yrs w/ the adddisons crisis info 'just in case' I ever need to call them....
I have a med list in my pocketbook but the mess in there is terrible....I also need to update mine and put a copy in my emerg. kit etc.....

I just put a list in my emergency kit for Zac after reading this yesterday, making sure wtih the summer coming that i always have it with me or zac has it whereever he is. Sometimes i still forget and we get somewhere and i think - if something happened now (away from home) can i remember the names of his meds?
