Title: Armour Thyroid
Marti - May 16, 2008 07:03 PM (GMT)
Just came from the pharmacy where they gave me all the Armour they had on stock, and said I should talk with my doctor. I know there is a generic out for it. Anyone here having a problem getting it?

There are some more out there Marti...also, check with other pharmacies chains in case it is only that one that has a problem.
I will google and get the otehr brands...

Have you been in contact with your doctor yet, Marti? I hope if you need to change to the Thyroid by Quality-Test there is no difference in them... {htd} I wonder why there is such a shortage of Armour...

Reason Armour is in short supply...This is good news in that Armour is not going off the market it is just in more demand due to Thyrolar being in FDA reveiw...

gdbV gdbV Jo, you are a first rate detective!!! (grh) Thanks so much for the link and the info that getting Armour is only a short term problem. My pharmacy gave me all they had, probably 22 or so pills, so will keep checking with them to see if they have received a shipment. If they don't, I'll try the Quality Test until Armour is available again...if it works, it's $5 cheaper! :D

I'm pleased to tell you that I was able to get Armour Thyroid at Rite Aid. They didn't have it in 120mg pills, but had 60's, so they gave those to me. :D

That is great, Marti! Rite Aid here in Lafayette still had 60's ,too. (0) Hope this shortage is soon over...
