I went to the dermatologist on Tuesday. He told me I have Malasma on my cheeks. It can be due to if your pregnant, sun or hormornal change. So I told him I have AD and asked if it was caused from that. He said "no, with AD my all over skin color would change not jsut darker spots on my face". But I wonder if AD really plays apart or not. What do you guys think? I have had AD for over 1 yr now. I noticed the darker spots on my cheeks about a few months ago.

It wouldn't hurt to get your ACTH level tested. If it's high then it could be causing it. I know the darkening often happens at scars first so maybe where you have some sun damage to your facial skin?? The way to know if it's from addisons is to have the ACTH checked.

I found references to melasma & Addison's...it does say the tan is on sun exposed areas.
