Oooh... hope you didn't get your hopes up Fox. :P
Tankmank, you REALLY must move away from plopping everything. It makes the cj a tad dull to view, and completely destroys the livelyness of a true city. It all looks so... perfectly organized...
It's like looking into The Giver...
Let your cities grow, rather than fall out of the sky. ;)
#7- Watercrest Center- Terravista Bank of Dorshire
#14- Gapling Plaza- JCC HQ Dorshire
But please, move away from the plopping and grow your cities instead.
Yoman3 - July 18, 2006 04:56 AM (GMT)
Ploping is good for balancing the growth but i agree stay away from it.
tankmank - July 18, 2006 05:17 AM (GMT)
I plop because my downtowns/city centers are all w2w and need old buldings but then there s some new buildings i plop in aswell
Yoman3 - July 18, 2006 05:19 AM (GMT)
We understand that but it gets boring. Just try not to plop as much. I dint say dont plop. Just not as much! LET THEM GROW!
defcon pilot - July 18, 2006 07:00 AM (GMT)
Yes. I plop every so often to spice things up a bit, but this is excessive. In fact, it breaches the line. These plopped cities look so contrived - as though something simply dropped them out of the sky and organised them into little rectangles. All those skyscrapers in the midst of a bunch of poorhouses just doesn't look right. Plopping is all fine and well in moderation, but don't be eccentric. Your city is not perfect. No city is. No amount of plopping is going to save you from that. Just let it grow naturally. Now, fancy landmarks in the midst of a bunch of rich townhouses and condos... that would be fitting. But your cities do not have rich townhouses and condos. Lay off with the plopping.
tankmank - July 18, 2006 08:55 AM (GMT)
i just grew the hk shangahi bank by the hk bat team and i do grow the occasional w2w building
Fox - July 18, 2006 10:20 AM (GMT)
Looking good... Although I agree with the sentiments of the others opinions here.. while plopping is great to fill in the gaps... I think it is more rewarding to watch it all grow for me. You've got a decent mix of odd matching buildings there, the two styles really look at odds with each other, and that makes your City look more interesting. Reminds me of some of these upcoming West Europe Cities that are booming with the modern highrises among the old buildings.
That being said... I'd be interested in purchasing building No. 4, with more information on the occupants to be released later.
Royal Alicante Hotels would also be interested in scouting the local real estate market for possible sites to build a new hotel.
defcon pilot - July 19, 2006 04:19 AM (GMT)
Growing "the occasional" building does not solve any problem. You need to get out of the habit of plopping everything.
And if you are going to plop, you should plop parks and subways and bus stops. Those are what your cities need to get out of the poorhouse ruts they are in. Not a bunch of supertowers.
In any case, Agrigen Hydroponics would like to secure office space in building 15. :)

would you like to chose the building your self or me and which city/town would you like this hotel?
Fox - August 2, 2006 10:15 AM (GMT)
I'll take a look at your CJ and study it for the best location suitable for my hotel... I will get back to you on that. I will also choose the bat that I feel would best suit the City too, if that is acceptable.. so far, no one esle has had any trouble with my selections, cause they are of the best caliber.
Thanks in advance though for the approval.
