Title: Diving/cheating

Just wanted other peoples opinions on this one as its really got me annoyed...

Did anyone see the story on the news a few days ago about players going over the top of the ball in a tackle vs. players diving(was about ronaldo in particular but this point doesnt just concern him). What has one got to do with the other? If a player goes over the top of the ball in one game that doesnt mean a different player has to dive in another. It was as though they were justifying all the cheating thats going on.

I do agree that intentionally trying to injure a player is far worse than diving but how can a manager come out with that as an excuse for it and then be backed by the pundits?

Stauart Pearce said he would tell off his diving cheating player which I thought was great. Lehman and Drogba both should have gone - any diving is a real problem

Agreed. The FA clearly don't see diving as a big problem otherwise they would do more to stamp it out. Plus you can tell the ref's have never played the game, as time after time they show their inability to tell the difference between a dive and a foul, stumble etc. which doesn't help matters.
