Title: How Many Games...
Description: ...do you attend each season?
hibs1875 - December 5, 2006 03:33 PM (GMT)
I generally make them all, home, away and all cup games. I may miss one or two due to holidays etc but regardless of travel, money and past performances i'll be their. Missed two last season (as they were played on sundays and i used to play football myself then) and one so far this season as i was down at Scarborough. It comes at a price though, being only 17, working part-time and at college, 50% of my money goes on watching Hibs, so when everyone's walking around in their Levi jeans and Stone Island knitwear and splashing the cash, i'm in a 20 jeans top from burtons and 15 top from river island :D ;)
What about the rest of ya?
Stubbsylufc - December 5, 2006 03:36 PM (GMT)
Try to attend as much as possible and have had season tickets for the last two seasons, but didn't renew this season due to the increased prices, which i simply couldn't afford as a uni student.
walesy - December 5, 2006 03:47 PM (GMT)
Missed 3 or 4 at the start due to playing cricket and holidays, but should have a run until the end of the season now.
Tanzo - December 5, 2006 03:49 PM (GMT)
Same as you hibs
Go to the vast majority of Nufc games home and away, unless I'm Ill or other unforseen circumstances. I'm 21 and was at uni until the summer when I graduated so most of my income went on football and not books B)
Still doing my part-time job at the minute, as I haven't got a proper full-time job just yet. Looking for somewhere decent with weekends off, and a good holiday structure for mid-week games ;)
Ashymark - December 5, 2006 04:58 PM (GMT)
i do the vast majority of home games, maybe 2 or 3 aways a season
Steve - December 5, 2006 05:03 PM (GMT)
For Wycombe Iam a STH so almost all home games and about 6 aways - usually the local ones.
Amanda - December 5, 2006 05:06 PM (GMT)
Am a STH at West Ham so all home games, did the FA Cup games last season right the way to the final and will hopefully do the same this season...
Used to go to all away games as well but now only do around 5/6 per season, otherwise I'd never get housework done!
yorkiebarkid - December 5, 2006 05:28 PM (GMT)
All homes and as many aways as I can get my grubby little mits on, so far only missed Reading and Watford in the league and Southend in the Carling Cup (due to work).
Try to get to at least one euro away a season so far this year only been to Celtic.
Blues Brother CFC - December 5, 2006 05:41 PM (GMT)
Usually go to most of the aways, and about 2 or 3 home matches a season (really can't stand the lack of atmosphere, high ticket prices and all the foreign tourists at the Bridge). Try to get to most of the England aways that I can get tickets for, which is a bit of a mission and I try and get upto Ibrox once or twice a season.
So around about 25-30 matches a season, thank god for credit cards and loans
Peter SUSD - December 5, 2006 07:27 PM (GMT)
All West Ham home league & cup games.
About two thirds of West Ham away league games (usually all in London & midlands, plus soem further north)
All West Ham away cup matches.
FA Cup final every 25 years!
A few Torquay home & away games each year.
Occasional AFC Hornchurch home game.
Use to watch England home games but not interested now.
DA Baracus - December 6, 2006 01:49 PM (GMT)
All too unless work means I cant make it (this only applies to midweek games whereby I am working late and cannot get time off). Season ticket holder at East End. I actually slept in and missed the bus and thereby the game away to Kilmarnock on Saturday. Glad I did though as were pumped 5-1!
Hammer Kevin - December 7, 2006 06:27 PM (GMT)
Season ticket at West Ham so all homes (except Wigan last night as i was in Newcastleon business). About half a dozen league aways and all of the cup aways.
nick the jack - December 8, 2006 11:26 AM (GMT)
I'm not that fussed about the rubbish cups we enter - ldv, welsh cup, fa and Caling 1st round. Most are terrible at our standard. Last season I did 40 of 46 Lge games. This year aiming for 41 out of 46. If we get in the Champ it will be a 46 gamer.
Major J - December 9, 2006 11:30 PM (GMT)

I try get to them all. Missed 2 in the league this season though.
I'm going to try and get to every league and cup game next season.
hereward - December 10, 2006 04:34 PM (GMT)
This topic inspired us (major J and myself) to add up the games. He hasnt missed a competitive game for 53 matches and on December 17 th, a year.He also does most of the home reserve fixtures .For the last two years we have done the preseason tours to Norway and other preseason games as well.
I havent missed a competitive game for several years .
We were chatting about the reserve games at York and how refreshing it was not to have hassle from stewards.Apparently at the recent youth cup game the stewards still looked for confrontation.Unbelievable
Garysgal - December 10, 2006 06:13 PM (GMT)
In my 5 years as a leeds fan i have now been to 11 games 8 home 2 away and play-off finals.
This is defo my best season because i've been to 3 out of the 6 i'm going to do.
But under my circumstances this is the best i can do.
I really do have a lot of respect to those who go to every game, i hope i can one day!

ben_afcb - January 16, 2007 10:55 AM (GMT)
Been to every game this season apart from Millwall away in the JPT, but who cares about that?
Going to try and do every league game this season. :)
AndrewFFC - January 16, 2007 11:16 AM (GMT)
About 7 so far this season, not all fulham though.
Tufty - January 16, 2007 11:54 AM (GMT)
I try and attend all games that Man Utd play, thats home, away and europe.
This season I have missed Charlton away, Benfica away and Southend away.
Missed 3 away overall last season. The 3 seasons previously i didnt miss one.
Not missed a home game for 12 years (apart from Giggs testimonial and pre season games).
Occasionaly will go and watch Runcorn FC, now operating as a fans run team in the North West Counties (What a difference 10 years makes, as they were then in the Conference with back to back Wembley FA Trophy final appearances).
chalky - January 23, 2007 10:04 AM (GMT)
Well for me it differs every season, this season I got a ST so that is 23 plus I will end up going to about 8 away games. SO 31 out of 46.

It just shows that how much of a drug football supporting is when you only go to 11 games and you feel so strongly about the way our game is being ruined by the powers that be!

loyalsfc - January 24, 2007 09:20 PM (GMT)
I have a season ticket at Southampton and missed 2 games as I was on holiday therefore loosing any money I gained for being a season ticket holder and have missed 3 away games this season. All midweek games as I cant always get the time off school.

I'm only 17, go to all home games and only missed 4 games this season - all at a premiership cost. Add to that that I do wear the sort of clothing you mentioned.
Dedication ;)
Only missing 1 more game between now and rest of season - and that's out of choice as I've been there before.

Tamsen - February 1, 2007 02:16 AM (GMT)
I attend at least 75% of united home games!
I try to get to as many aways as i can! Been 2 this season so far
looking at next round of champions league (if we get there) for my 18th!
deedbee - February 1, 2007 07:08 PM (GMT)
Have a Season Ticket and try to attend as many games as possible. I think I've missed three games this season including pre-season (Somebody needs to get a life  )
jrtoonarmy - February 2, 2007 04:09 PM (GMT)

mattyoung2avfc - February 9, 2007 03:29 PM (GMT)
Been to every home villa game and been to every away game but 2. I missed scunthorpe away. And also missed united in the cup because I missed the coach, but brought a ticket complete waste of money
Im completely skint but just have to go cant miss them, have to much fun.
Hiveoccupier - February 10, 2007 11:20 AM (GMT)
All Barnet home games, about half the away games, managed to get in a Tinpot trophy away game this season, but draw the line at Herts Senior Cup fixtures. Also try to get in 8 or 9 Arsenal games a season but likely to fall short of that this year.
chris1878 - February 20, 2007 03:18 PM (GMT)
Try to go to as many games as possible, but work on saturday which is terrible, but not till 5 so i can get to the early kik-offs. So its mainly mid-week and sunday games for me. i've been to about 9 united home games, 3 york city games, and 2 england games. However most of my mates arent interested in goin to matches due to the prices so i end up goin to most games on my own, which puts me off goin. But ill be 18 soon so socialisin in the pub b4 wont b a problem.
