How the "Domino Effect" occurs from not taking your correct seat is beyond me. Words for words sake.

Leicester City fans travelling to the Leyton Orient game this weekend are reminded that they are required to sit in their allocated seat inside the Matchroom Stadium.

The Foxes look set to be backed by over 2,600 supporters on the day.

And fans can help to eliminate any confusion by talking up their positions within the ground in plenty of time ahead of the game.

A City spokesman said: "There has been some confusion amongst supporters at away games this season. They are trying to take to their seats only to find they are already taken - and are therefore taking up other seats which creates a domino effect.

The away area will be full on Saturday. If supporters can co-operate with one other then this will eliminate any potential problems.

"If our fans are unable to locate their allocated seat then our advice to them is to contact the nearest steward."

Tickets for the contest will be available at the Walkers Stadium ticket office until 4pm today (Friday).

The 'domino effect' they refer to isn't one caused by people standing in seated areas, they mean that if someone else has taken your seat, you are then forced to take someone elses...hence a domino effect in that regard.

Of course it's all related really, as I'm sure some people who prefer to stand will take up seats at the back.

Yet another angle to the whole stupid anti-standing situation.

Leeds went there all all stood, they wont have a problem with leicester though, we are very good sitters.

There's another irritating thing about the modern fan, I rarely use the seat I've been allocated unless in a totally sold out block, but even in a half empty stand there's still a good chance you'll get an 'oy you're in my seat'... this obsession (especially season ticket holders) with 'my seat' and getting the exact same view every week is another thing that helps kill any atmosphere these days IMO

Not just football, I've seen similar on trains (nearly empty carriage, someone will still get all up tight that someone's 'in their seat')

Never have this issue with Barnet, we always have plenty of room and so I don't think anyone (standers or sitters) really looks at the ticket. Appreciate it's harder when you're selling out.

All that will happen in practice if a few people at the front sit is that those with tickets there will move to the back to stand, causing congestion and leaving people standing in the aisles. Which ultimately creates a less safe situation than if the back half were just allocated as standing space and tickets sold accordingly.

posh away always sit wherever they want, this does make people stand as all those who like to stand get together. also atmosphere is better

I can see how its a mare for stewards as this generally makes people who arrive late stand on the stairs

Orient was a classic away day last year. All aways in london with leeds are though. We got the whole of one stand with the front blocked off for some reason so im not sure if you have the front as well.

For clubs who dont usually sell out away, like us, I dont see the point in sticking to seats. The standers usually go at the back and the sitters at the front. Thats generally how it works for all 'smaller' clubs. Then it usually depends on the club as to weather everyone stands if its sold out. i dont see why the Leicester board should have a problem with that.

Gotta agree Orient away is class. They put the away fans in the best old fashioned stand.

Why the fook do you support us? Never far from any sort of negative comment regarding our club, concerntrate on your yank game and we'll get behind city.

For the record, I didn't go in my allocated seat, never do and just stood near the back. Isles were rammed also do plenty of standers just congregated. Also a few people switching tickets whilst there.

About half our support stood all game, rest pretty much up and down.

I'm something of a lapsed Leicester supporter, and yesterday was my first Leicester away game (aside from a couple in Cardiff) for several years. I was really impressed with the away support. 3000 fans there, and the back 5-6 rows were all stood. I sat for about 5 minutes. good stuff.

Loved yesterday. We had the whole stand too. 3000 fans, about 1000 standing I'd say. Too many mongs out to have a Fulham-esk Night, but still good. They Roped the front rows off too...Don't know why. Few of our fans still found the pitch when we scored the 2! :D  :P :ph43r:

London aways are by far the best!

Yeh they blocked off the first few rows for us last year i think something went on with millwall there afew years ago and ever since block it off when fans get the whole stand.
