i had no idea he'd actually gone through with it until just now when i looked at the website!

What's your opinion?

Personally, I think United are mad to sell to Arsenal. I know he might be surplus to requirements, but he's pretty much exactly what the gooners need (experience and defensive strength in depth). They are United's close rivals, if not for the League (although I think they will challenge for the title) then for the cups and the champions league.

A lot of the plastic gooners I know love to tell me that their biggest rivals are Man United, not Tottenham. If that's the case, I'd expect them to be in uproar about signing their fierce rival's cast-off...

What I find puzzling is who will cover Ferdinand/Vidic when they inevitably get injured?

All i got to say is that he is w*nk, player of uniteds i have always wanted to get rid of, he is a liability, clumsy and makes loads of mistakes which costs us in games...i am actually laughing my head off arsenal actually bought him for money glad he will f*ck them up now haha

He looked quality for Northern Ireland last night. Reminded me a lot of John Terry the way he plays

i hardly think that's fair - there've been seasons (admittedly not for a while now) when he was an unsung hero who stepped in when he was needed and kept us going. I also have to agree with NW7 about the madness of selling to the arse. I expect them to come back stronger this season and we've just helped them out.

So does David Healy.

As long as this doesn't result in Djourou being shipped out, I'm happy enough. As has been mentioned, he provides what we need - experience, extra depth to the squad, and loathe as I am to say it, he can't fair any worse than Senderos has been for the past few seasons. All in all, a worthwhile addition.

"Publicity hungry slapper abuser" is the correct term which should be used on such bints
