Its alright - phone up and get them in the home end. You get to see us play Hull aswell...only £80 for both tickets!
yorkiebarkid - August 7, 2008 03:27 PM (GMT)
3 out of about 19 applications
Good start
LH_88 - August 7, 2008 04:52 PM (GMT)
Couldn't get through on the phone so I tried the website. The website crashed as I was applying, so I tried again.
Rang them this afternoon to find out why I had no tickets - and apparently my application is void because I have tried to apply twice off the same two tickets!!
W@nkers. Waiting for them to ring me back and make sure an application is registered or these are out of the Loyalty Pot.
Fantastic start to the season and a definite omen for what is to come.

LH, i wasn't happy when i found out that they you couldn't apply on the phone anymore as the exact same thing that happened to you happened to me with the website a few years ago. The website has always been tenche for me, never actually been able to login to it apart from once last season when it brough up a page of every person who had a lisbon away ticket  I actually applied ok for 4 pompey and got chubbed on all 4
First away will be blackburn for alot of lads then
yorkiebarkid - August 7, 2008 07:12 PM (GMT)
I refuse to use the website, so many complaints everytime applications are made
I'd keep at United till they get back to you about the LP in writing, they have a habit of telling you it's ok only to bin you.

so how does your away tickets system work? it just goes back on the last 10 seasons points for us!

3 pots, execs, loyalty pot and standard pot.
Execs apply earlier for some reason
Loyalty pot is people who have applied for every single domestic away since 2002/2003 (i think), standard is any season ticket holder who bought tickets for all home cup games last season (i.e everyone).
Its tench if your in the standard pot like me. Liverpool and chelsea the next 2 aways to apply for i can say 99% right now i wont get a successful application for either.

got to say (and maybe i'm in the minority here) that the online application business has worked a treat for me ever since they launched it.

Do you United lads agree with the system your club uses even though you miss out quite a bit, or do you think there would be a fairer way to do it?
I like the good old fashioned:
On sale to s/t holders with 8 away stubs
On sale to s/t holders with 5 away stubs
On sale to s/t holders with 3 away stubs
On sale to s/t holders
LH_88 - August 8, 2008 11:18 AM (GMT)
City have the best system for away distribution.
It's wasted on a following like theirs.

I like the good old fashioned "you walk into the ticket office and but your ticket" way, like at Cov.
yorkiebarkid - August 9, 2008 11:04 AM (GMT)
the way season tickets are distributed now it is the fairest way. We simply have to many people who want to go. If we had a system like citys it would be worse
LongtonLeeds - August 9, 2008 12:24 PM (GMT)
No clubs have a worse system than we do !!! and thats the reason im here and not in scunny at the moment

Reppz - August 27, 2008 08:05 PM (GMT)
Have the big clubs always done this??
How about in the 70s/80s, was it all this picking out a hat shyte then?
Or was it just pay on the gate?

Do you run a branch yorkie? If so, which one? 0/22 is a disgrace!
0/2 myself. I will travel without a ticket and hope to get in.

Nah never had anything to do with them the 22 is based on our lot (a core of 6) and the books they have access to.
TBH I didn't get in the season before last until the last 5 minutes (and that was in the home end near our section) - it wasn't to bad mooching about Anfield.
