Report 1

Report 2

We can guarantee that if this had been a football crowd effecting closures of six underground stations it would have been given far more coverage...

So this was last night??
Didn't even realise about the ban or the parties, will be interesting to see how much coverage it gets on the news and papers tomorrow.

Where there's booze, there's a way. Funny the closest thing we've had to a significant protest in years (apart from the war etc.) comes because of alcohol.

Funny to see in The Sun "they were like rowdy football fans"

To be honest I think the coverage of this has been sensationalist in a similar way to hooliganism reporting - basically you have a few morons who probably made up a tiny fraction of those who turned out and they are getting 99% of the news coverage. I wasn't there to verify this but most people who were are saying they didn't see any such problems all night... it all comes down to selling papers in the end whatever the subject
