En route to Moscow last week, we stopped over in Hannover on the Monday and we thought it would be a good idea to have a look at Hannover96's football ground. Anyway, we couldn't get anywhere close enough to the actually stadium as the turnstyles are miles away from the seats. So after a bit of a sneaking around in the club shop, we found a back door. :ph43r:
As we walked in the direction of the stand something didn't look right... as I got closer I realised, we had sneaked into the standing area.
I was very impressed with everything. It was a modern stadium but no Riverside, Reebok or Madejski and the standing area did infact look very "safe". Incredibly wide aisles, loads of room per "seat" both in length and width. The thing that impressed me the most though was the whole lower tier behind the goal was for standing. I was under the impression only tiny sections of the ground like the corner flag were used for the standing areas.

As the season was over the club shop were selling all their gear at a 70% discount so I had to purchase a 96 bob hat. They're definitely my German team now (8th in Bundesliga this season). :D
Oh it's a shame Old Trafford can't have one...
