Title: From The Times...

As for the Luzhniki Stadium, it was pleasingly reminiscent of the old Wembley — or of how the old Wembley might have been had it only afforded the luxury of an unobstructed view and a seat you could comfortably sit in. Not that we did, in fact. At the Chelsea end, day-trippers from Gatwick, 17 hours into a 24-hour period, or more, of wakefulness, remained standing for the entire 120 minutes plus pens.

Or to be put it more simply, it made loads of noise, unlike the corportate beast that we spunked nearly £1billion on.
One word sums up Wembley for me ...hollow.

Never been there, but that is exactly the feeling I get. What was it they said about it designed so as to replicate the Wembley roar?
Good to hear about the standing, and I'd assume the mancs were on their feet as well.

After mooching round Moscow for a few hours I thought it would be interesting to see how much standing there would be from both sides - there were some major league whoppers wandering around.
However it was an amazing sight, apart from the VIP bit and about 1 block in the neutral section 95% of the ground were on their feet all game.

It seemed that, I could see both Uniteds and Chelseas main sections standing to a man which was brilliant.

exactly! - considering that the support for both teams out there was "gentrified" to say the least it's amazing all those people still chose to stand! how does that fit with your theory of no demand then goons at the FLA?

Yeah I think both ends and most of the neutral stood all game.
