Hodgson - May 20, 2008 06:34 PM (GMT)
You have to be logged on to view it. Same with the other link that I think you put on.

Can you copy and paste it?

LongtonLeeds - May 20, 2008 06:40 PM (GMT)
Ahhh yeh thats a problem

Its about megaphone been given out at wembley on sunday to leeds and donny fans in club colours to help the atmosphere. Embarressing if we have to use them in my book

And the other link was about standing at wembley and virtually everyone said they will/want to stand so...

leedskopender - May 20, 2008 06:41 PM (GMT)
its coke a cola giving out mega phones to help create an atmo

they can stick um up there arse

LongtonLeeds - May 20, 2008 06:43 PM (GMT)
This threads rather pointless now

I cant copy and paste the actual article and its a photo and if you cant get onto waccoe without being logged in then....

I actually like the idea, Ultras around the world use them (they are called Capo's) and I've seen them used in the MLS too, to orchestrate the songs etc...

Anything that helps the atmosphere and gets songs started is a good think in my opinion.

I agree in princaple, but it will not be like that in England so it will be embarising.

LongtonLeeds - May 20, 2008 07:01 PM (GMT)
Thats abit different dont you think, one person in a stand full of like minded people. These things getting into the hands of kids or mental people will cause a disaster !!! The horns they sell outside most finals or england games are bad but this could turn into one whole conversation mid game

purpleronnie - May 20, 2008 07:05 PM (GMT)
Its got to start somewhere.

LongtonLeeds - May 20, 2008 07:07 PM (GMT)
....wembley

Its safe to say i wont pick one up unless you want me bring some home for you to use next year <_<

shrenchel - May 20, 2008 07:28 PM (GMT)
Haha yeah I've seen them be used to trouting great effect in Europe and South America but there's a big difference between a respected member of a fan group standing at the front and starting chants with a proper megaphone and thousands of spoilt kids screaming into a plastic coca-cola piece of crap.

Amanda - May 20, 2008 07:31 PM (GMT)
But Leeds fans aren't exactly the most reticent of supporters, are they?

I love the ultra scene but it'll never take off in Britain, just can't see it.

leedskopender - May 20, 2008 07:53 PM (GMT)
thats the problem little kids will be using them and all the day trippers . I will take one just to smash they must think we are some tin pot club

watermelon man - May 20, 2008 10:55 PM (GMT)
You should take them, but not use them, then next season bring them to Ellend road and use them as a capo.

I'm guessing they won't be of the highest quality as they are being given away free!

purpleronnie - May 21, 2008 07:41 AM (GMT)
I didn't actually read what they were doing as the link didnt work, I didn't realise it was some crappy free thing for kids.

albiontilidie - May 21, 2008 07:50 AM (GMT)
is it true leeeds fans are queing in big numbers at donnies ground getting tickets in their end as leeds has sold out?

There are 10,000 Leeds fans queuing at Elland Road for tickets now. People started queuing yesterday at noon.

There are 10,000 tickets left and 10,000 people queuing, but you're allowed 3 tickets per person so theres going to be a lot of disappointed people

LongtonLeeds - May 21, 2008 11:05 AM (GMT)
Its mental down at elland road. About 10 police vans dozens of stewards all to keep the gue in order. When people realise they arent going to get a ticket there will be some severly gutted people...hence the police presence. Afew que jumpers came at 6am too and afew problems arose from that but it seems cleared for now

Alot are getting tickets in the donny end as its simply easier. Plus they may not be leeds members so cant buy a ticket in our end so have gone down the road where they dont need to be members

unibee - May 21, 2008 12:07 PM (GMT)
How many megaphones will their be? If it's just one bloke standing at the front facing the crowd (as abroad) that's one thing, if it's a load of people sitting in their seats with them it doesn't bear thinking about...

In the former case you'd probably be thrown out for standing :o(
