Title: Hows Your Loyalty Rewarded
Description: at your club ???

LongtonLeeds - May 5, 2008 05:09 PM (GMT)
What with our 2 biggest games coming up in the next 10 days im already tenchting it but not about the games. Our away leg in carlisle is next thursday and we get given 1600 tickets. Thats bad enough but then once again leeds decide to sell them first come first serve

85% to season ticket holders
15% to members

All tickets on sale 10am wednesday morning so whoever sends their email fastest wins and we get told they bin all applications which come in before 10am yet apparently they dont. Shall i send my email early in the hope of getting in first and risking it ???

What annoys me most is that iv been to hereford, bournemouth, yeovil and bristol on friday nights and 21 away games yet the odds are will miss out on our biggest day and what could be celebration to someone who hasnt been any but has a fast internet !!!

Yet the club ask for loyal fans....f**k do they care

Sorry this is just an annoyed rant which has no real duty being here  <_<

Kukev31 - May 5, 2008 05:15 PM (GMT)
Agreed it's especially prominent at a club like mine where we hardly ever sell out. They don't keep a record of who's gone to how many away games as it would only be worthwhile for one game every couple of years. Annoying when you don't get a ticket, but there's not much they can do really.

LongtonLeeds - May 5, 2008 05:19 PM (GMT)
Loyalty points...its the only way

Much easier than the way they do it. Splitting EVERY application into members/season ticket holders/members and season ticket holders.

leedskopender - May 5, 2008 05:38 PM (GMT)
i send mine off at 10 to 5 and i still get my tickets

loyalsfc - May 5, 2008 06:01 PM (GMT)
With Southampton for the bigger games or smaller allocations they would do..

ST Holders been to say 6 or more away games
Members who have been to 6 more more away
It then works its way down through the number of away games attended to ST Holders, members then general sale.

10 to 5 as in 4.50 ??? for league games it will be ok...for this game you have no chance IMO

Id settle for that easily. Just anything to give those who go more priority for these kind of games

kroblues - May 5, 2008 06:21 PM (GMT)
It's not

T-Man Lcfc - May 5, 2008 06:30 PM (GMT)
We do similar to Soton by using priority cards.

Basically its about the previous season's aways attended

13+ aways = priority 1
8-13 = priority 2
then a normal ST holder = priority 3
Members
General

1 day will seprate each rank.

Kukev31 - May 5, 2008 06:37 PM (GMT)
Something likeat Southampton or Leicester is what I would like to see at our club, but is there a point for one game every two seasons that will sell out with many missing out.

Joe Harvey took a holiday - May 5, 2008 06:55 PM (GMT)
We get a point for every away we do. Need at least 50 points for the mackems.

Blackcountry Villa - May 5, 2008 07:04 PM (GMT)
Our bigger away games go to season ticket holders with 5 away stubs, then to season ticket holders and then general sale if theres any tickets left.

Take our game at West Ham next week for instance, they went on sale to season ticket holders with 5 away stubs and all sold out before reaching just the season ticket holders sale meaning our most loyal fans will be there next week which is only fair

Same as but our big away games start at around 25 away games in the last 2 seasons and sell out at 10 or 15. Goes down by 5 games each time so starts 25 then, 20,15,10,5, then any ST holders then other members. Fair way IMO.

Hows your loyalty rewarded?

With tenche football!

Amo - May 5, 2008 08:06 PM (GMT)
MCFC do a loyalty point scheme.

Basically, you get 10 or 20 pts (the 20 depends on if its a difficult mid week trip or an unattractive sounding away game) each away or cup game you attend. I've held my season ticket for 9 seasons and been going away for about 6 years to around 10 aways a season and currently have 3450+ points. In the early days of the points scheme the long standing season ticket holders were given 1500/1000 pts. Not sure if any new season ticket holders start at a base of 1000, or at 0 these seasons though.

Currently this season the tiered schemes of when tickets have been on sale have been something like:

Supporters with 3000+ points (and a season ticket holder) (first day)
Supporters with 2700+ points (and a season ticket holder) (third or fourth day)
Supporters with 2500+ points (and a season ticker holder (sixth day)
Any season ticket holder
Any citycard holder

Has been consistant for the whole season, apart from Man United away when it goes from 4000 pts down to 2700 - it sold out the day before they reached the 3200 point allocation.

yorkiebarkid - May 5, 2008 08:10 PM (GMT)
Execs - depends on facitlies used but usually if they bung in 2-3 they'll get at least 1

Loyalty Pot - ST holders who applied for everything between 2001-2003 (could be wrong about the dates but basically applied for everything within two seasons) they have to keep applying for everything (I think you get to miss 1) or they get binned from the pot. They are now not adding people to the pot and it's currently between 800-1000 strong.

Standard pot - every other ST holder regardless of if you apply for everything or only one a season. Roughly around 40-50k can apply in this pot.

Theres a fairly decent (and probably fairly accurate) percentage run down of away allocations about 20% for execs 50% LP 30% sp etc but I can't be bothered to find it.

Add in players and staff tickets and the obvious creaming off to well heeled touts.

It's not the best situation to put it mildly - but what else do you do, IMO a points sytem would not work theres to many people for it to be fair.

Peter SUSD - May 5, 2008 08:14 PM (GMT)
West Ham give one point for every away game & those with most get prioirity.
Simple, fair & works.
And has saved many hours of early morning queuing.

hibs1875 - May 5, 2008 08:27 PM (GMT)
Loyalty pot systems are the only fair way IMO.

We have nothing at Hibs, although TBF we would only really need for away matches to Hearts and cup games with small allocations.

I've missed one game this season, 1 game last season and yet when the next Edinburgh Derby comes i'll be queing outside at 3am in the morning with people who have been to only one away game.

West Ham and Man Citys systems seem ideal.

piesandsalad - May 5, 2008 08:37 PM (GMT)
Problem we have is that for most away games a lot of people pay on the gate. Sometimes you don't even get a ticket so there is no way of proving you have been at the game.

For our big aways this season they sold to members (Season Tickets, 6-match-in-one tickets and basic membership [£25 but no matches]) who had 6 away stubs, then 3 away stubs, then ST's, then 6-in-1's, then basic members and finally general sale.

I've been to 5 aways this year and only have 3 stubs as paid on gate for other two. One of the stubs I have was bought on the day at Sheff Utd. so Argyle have no idea that I was there to award a loyalty point.

LongtonLeeds - May 5, 2008 08:52 PM (GMT)
Its going to be so annoying missing out for a game with so much riding on it (i just know i will as people get round our current system). Theres nothing i can do about it though so...

JTsBlueArmy - May 5, 2008 09:16 PM (GMT)
For away games Away Season Ticket Holders and Corporates get their tickets automatically, then the rest of the allocation is split 50/50 between Season Ticket Holders and Members, free all for all 7am on release date

You get loyalty points for every game, eg Arsenal Home/Away 1 point, Wigan Home/Away 3 points, Cup games 5 points

Loyalty points have been used to sell tickets for the Tottenham Cup Final, Liverpool Home/Away Semi's, Arsenal United & Bolton home games, and The European Cup Final

MattySAFC - May 5, 2008 09:25 PM (GMT)
At Sunderland you get 1 loyalty point for every away game you apply for, and for the big games you only get one if you get a ticket, obviously the people with the most points get the tickets first...

For next season you should join a supporters club. If they are like ours, there members get there tickets first before anyone ;)

I dont think they do with us. Bates and the SC fell out so now we have the members clubs

They can do block bookings but would have to have everyones membership numbers else no sale. I have just rang them up and i can send an email with all my info so at 10.00.01am tomorrow ill click send with about 5000 other people. Whoever snoozes loses i say !!!

Still a load of bollocks in my book. Whoever has access to the internet and can email fast will get tickets. Just for these kind of games where demand will be over 10,000 i bet we need points

BWA_Ultra - May 6, 2008 12:07 PM (GMT)
Although similar to Brighton in the sense that it only applies two or 3 times a season our priority for away games that will sell-out is

ST holders with about 75% Away Match Credits
ST Holders with about 50% AMC / non-ST holders with 75% AMC
ST Holders with about 25% AMC/non-ST holders with 50% AMC
rest of the ST Holders
25% of Home or Away match credits
to all supporters on our database

not ideal but a lot better than some of your systems, I just make sure I buy tickets from the club for all games so I don't miss out.

nick the jack - May 6, 2008 04:56 PM (GMT)
For our last game of the eason we were only given 850 ticketrs at Brighton. To get one you had to go to the ticket office and show 6 ticket stubs from games since Feb. It was a bit unfair because people were swapping them, but it meant I was fine, as long as I get there on time I was fine.

Simple, feel sorry for you mate

PS good luck Leeds in the play offs. If you come up after the Cardiff games its your fixture I will be looking forward to most.

nw7 yid - May 6, 2008 05:52 PM (GMT)
Away games for us are worth 1, 3 or 5 points depending on attractiveness of match (e.g. Boro away on a Tuesday night would be 1, West Ham away would be 5). You also get loyalty points for home cup/european matches, and non-ST holders get loyalty points for any match they attend.

You don't get points just for applying - you actually need to purhase the ticket.

Pretty fair system, but generally it's very difficult to get onto the ladder in the first place due to the sheer size of our away following.

Peter SUSD - May 6, 2008 05:58 PM (GMT)
To allow new fans to get onto the ladder West Ham only count games for the previous & current season.
There has been some debate as to whether you should get more points for less popular games, but I think most people are happy with the scheme as it is.
Game that needed the most points this season was Spurs with about 10, so anyone who goes to a reasonable number of aways could get a ticket.
Highest ever requirement was about 30 for Brighton.

LongtonLeeds - May 6, 2008 06:44 PM (GMT)
I have just heard people have been sending emails since friday, even before ticket details were announced and have had them accepted by those in the ticket office. I may as well send mine now and risk it....wish we had something half like what all you have got

Yep these were exactly my thoughts on seeing the thread title, couldn't have put it better!

I think we do have a loyalty system at Coventry, but it's near irrelevant as I can't think of a game for ages that's sold out before general sale, even then 'going in the home end' has often been a possibility (like losing at Rochdale in the cup, ooh that was a fun day).

albiontilidie - May 7, 2008 08:11 AM (GMT)
we have away season ticket holders who get first chose, they for big games goes down away games in block of 2, for QPR everyone loyal was there, had to have been at least 8 away games which was good.

next season we got a new points loyalty scheme which who knows how it gonna work probably.

LongtonLeeds - May 7, 2008 09:15 AM (GMT)
Well thats sent now and WACCOE where iv just been on had 500 members online at 10am when normally it would be 200 or so... Sent it at 10.00.06 so there is something seriously trouted up if i dont get a ticket. All leeds fans should bombard the club about this system because its so unfair on those who have been here there and everywhere following the club this season but then those who havnt been all year can manage to scrape a ticket

Its madness. People at work/college etc cant send theirs off, people may be out or on holiday which will be me this summer and will miss out. They have all our records on file from when we have brought tickets, its not hard to sort something out for ONE game

exactly shud get online system when you have points and different points each day so your loyal fans get them

when you no if u have dem

Stoned_Prof - May 7, 2008 02:08 PM (GMT)
Not really at problem at Maidstone because the ground holds 3,000 (theoretically at least) and our average league gate this season was 444. However, Wimbledon at home saw a crowd of 1,224 and as we only have 200 seats, it was decided to sell seated tickets in advance. After reserving seats for seated season ticket holders, advance tickets were available at the two home games before the Wimbledon one. Therefore, fans regularly attending had the most opportunity to purchase.

Also, when mentioning online systems, it should be considered that not everyone has internet access.

tbh444 - May 7, 2008 02:25 PM (GMT)
One thing that annoys me is when a big game comes around clubs usually allocate season ticket holders 2 or even 3 tickets each – on the basis of rewarding loyalty or even to prevent tickets falling into the wrong hands. But what happens in practice is hangers on who happen to know a ST holder end up getting preference over regular fans who e.g. can’t afford one or are exiled but still put a lot of money and effort into the club.

When they do or dont come through the letterbox. Pointless ringing them to find out as they wont know yet and my online account is trouted because of the play offs and everyone being on the website. Either that or when people who applied after me start saying they have tickets

We sell away tickets via postal and fax applications as well as online but fax takes longer and are only accepted when they come through which could be hours and post is post and could take weeks to get there

We dont have ticket office sales for away games which i thinks right to do considering the amount of out of city leeds fans there are
