Stoned_Prof - May 4, 2008 04:46 PM (GMT)
Team - Maidstone United

Division and final position - Isthmian (Ryman) Premier, 17th out of 22.

Games attended - 44 (36 league).

Home match ticket price - £6.67 per game (£140 Season Ticket for 21 home league games). Normal standing prices are adults £9, Students £6, OAPs £5, Youth (11-16) £2, Child (10 and under) £1. It is £1 extra to sit.

Cheapest away ticket - Adults £7 (I think), several grounds. Under 16s free at Wimbledon.

Most expensive away ticket - Adults £9, several grounds. Students pay adult price at Boreham Wood.

Best atmosphere at home game - Probably Canvey Island, FA Trophy 3rd Qual. Lost 1-0. They sang all game, we sang for the first half. Home atmospheres are generally very poor.

Amount of persistant standing at that game - Around 300 (~75%).

Worst atmosphere (home) - Most of them. I'll go for East Thurrock United on Boxing Day. They didn't bring any crowd to speak of, and neither set of fans was thrilled at teh prospect of not having a derby on Boxing Day. Won 3-1.

Amount of persistant standing - Around 250 out of 350.

Best atmosphere from away fans at your ground - Canvey Island in the FA Trophy. Sang all game. See above.

Amount of standing from their fans - Lack of segregation makes it hard to tell. They had a group of 20 or 30 singing.

Best atmosphere at an away game - Folkestone Invicta away. Last day relegation decider for both clubs. Won 1-0.

Amount of persistant standing from your fans - About 750 out of 800. Lack of segregation makes it hard to tell.

Worst atmosphere at an away game - Staines Town. Lost 4-2. They made no noise, and several arguments broke out between our fans and management.

Amount of persistant standing - About 300 out of 380.

Best atmosphere from home fans at an away game - Hastings United and Harlow Town were both pretty good.

Amount of standing from their fans - About 70% at each.

Best result/team performance of the season - Folkestone away. We stayed up with a 1-0 win and dominated the game.

Amount of standing - About 1,200 out of 1,300.

Rate the atmosphere in that game from 1-10, 1=worst, 10=best - 10.

Most amount of standing at home - Probably Wimbledon due to size of crowd. Seats were full, however.

Least amount of standing at home - Hard to tell/remember. It's about the same for most games.

Most amount of standing away - Probably Folkestone Invicta on last day.

Least amount of standing away - Probably Boreham Wood away. We didn't take that many, and all theirs seemed to sit.

AWAY GAMES...

Best stewards - Folkestone Invicta. Let us self-police and handled the large crowd well. Nice club, nice fans, nice ground. Shame we had to send them down to stay up.

Worst stewards - Tonbridge Angels by far. Hired thugs. Tried (and failed, due to intervention of our fans) to eject two of our fans for mouthing off a little (one of them admittedly was going a bit OTT, but the other merely said their attitude was small-time when they wouldn't let him use the toilets 6 ft away, but said he had to go to the other side of the ground. There was no segregation, so I don't see what their problem was). Also, they gave no warnings, and weren't around when a Tonbridge fan came in to our end trying to cause trouble, which he didn't get.

Best police - A few PCSOs at Ramsgate. We made fun of them, and they just laughed with us.

Worst police - Wimbledon. They weren't really bad, but segregation was poor in that we were confined to one end while home fans were allowed to walk through our end mouthing off. That's the club's fault, but the police claimed that segregation was the club's idea, while the club said it was on police orders.

Best overall matchday experience - Folkestone Invicta away. We stayed up on last day, best ground, best atmosphere, good weather, pitch invasion. Good day out.

Worst overall matchday experience - Tonbridge Angels away. Lost 2-1. Stewards were the worst I've ever experienced (see above). Crap referee, our joint manager's pointless sending off, losing to local rivals.

Any other comments... Roll on next season.

nick the jack - May 4, 2008 06:10 PM (GMT)
Team - Swansea City

Most amount of standing at home - 5,000 for Leeds, including them

Least amount of standing at home - none several times, the stewards won

Most amount of standing away - Leeds 2,500. All Jacks stood at about 8 away games

Least amount of standing away - Huddersfield, down to stewards

AWAY GAMES...

Best stewards - Orient and Donny, very friendly, both great days, those aways seem to win all the awards

Worst stewards - Huddersfield. I hate Hud fans and their stewards are just as bad. I guess the only reason they employ those stewards is because they smile when getting you to sit.

Best police - N/A

Worst police - Hartlerpool, waiting at the back for our fans to commit an offence, they could have prevented the little trouble there was if they weren't just waiting for it, and a 12.30 police escort didn't help

Best overall matchday experience - Orient, went on the train which is always good, and I like London

Worst overall matchday experience - Northampton, 3-0 down after 20 mins, but cant complain we only lost 3/23 away games

Any other comments - great season, bring on Div 2

Team - Aldershot TOWN

Division and final position - Conference, 1st aka Champions.

Games attended - All home, 18/23 aways.

Home match ticket price - £7 (Although had a season ticket)

Cheapest away ticket - £3

Most expensive away ticket - Oxford £11

Best atmosphere at home game - Oxford in the Set-tench Shield-tench (I admit, I did go to one Set-tench game :()

Amount of persistant standing at that game - Most out of 1573 - 4/500 seated at a guess.

Worst atmosphere (home) - The last 5 or 6 home games - quids for a quid  Even the day we got our trophy was tench.

Amount of persistant standing - Terrace, so plenty. At most 500 odd sitting.

Best atmosphere from away fans at your ground - Cambridge, Northwich (only about 20 of them - losing 5-0, shirts off, having a laugh - many of our East Bank applauding them as they left)

Amount of standing from their fans - I think say only one or two of them went in the seats.

Best atmosphere at an away game - trouting Torquay away, HANDS DOWN! WHOLE of our end singing at times - 1000 on a MONDAY night, day we practically "won" the league with a 94mins, 40 odd secs (5 mins extra time) goal.

Amount of persistant standing from your fans - Most, about 100 in the seats

Worst atmosphere at an away game - York

Amount of persistant standing - A handful in the seats, not many went 200 odd.

Best atmosphere from home fans at an away game - Cambridge, hands down

Amount of standing from their fans - Terrace behind the goal for the standers and down one side of the pitch, both areas looked pretty full. The other side of the pitch for their sitters. More standers than sitters in my opinion.

Best result/team performance of the season - Either away to Oxford 3-2 or Torquay away 2-1

Amount of standing - Torquay, nearly everyone, Oxford - back 8 rows

Rate the atmosphere in that game from 1-10, 1=worst, 10=best - 9 at Torquay, 7 Oxford

Most amount of standing at home - A good 5300 (? - I don't even know how many seats we have anyway!) odd out of 6000

Least amount of standing at home - N/A

Most amount of standing away - Places we had terraces ;) lol

Least amount of standing away - No one got us to sit down, fine this year.

AWAY GAMES...

Best stewards - Wrexham (really sad that they're going down)

Worst stewards - There was one old lady at Torquay, right trouting hitler. Trying to set the tifo up, "can you stop walking down the walk-way please" WTF!!! That's what it's there for. "Please get behind the barrier" - "I'm going to get a drink" "Well, can you make sure you get behind the barrier". Idiot lady.

Best police - Our man, Parish. Woking stewards "worried" about getting us to sit in their all-seated stand in the Trophy so got him. *Looks up to our group* "Nah, they're fine. Leave them" - the expression on the stewards face was one to see. GUTTED YOU troutER.

Worst police - Crawle - not sure though they're just the ones that stick out.

Best overall matchday experience - Torquay away or Exeter (we won the league at Exeter) - both journeys down was a great piss up, loads of singing etc, took a few coaches of our "own" - not through the club. Won and drew. Won the title. Stayed behind at Exeter for near on an hour. Torquay everyone singing. Wish it could be like that every week.

Worst overall matchday experience - The one I was most pissed off at was Weymouth at home, when we got our sodding trophy with all the music playing.

Any other comments...

Let's stick together. The more teams and the more fans that stick together, the greater chance we have of getting what we want.

FIGHT IT TOGETHER.

Worst stewards - Plymouth and sheff wed were appauling, were on a mission to get everyone sat, we still had a few up.

Maidstone United, additional categories:

Worst atmosphere from home fans at an away game - Leyton.

Amount of standing from their fans - One! Down the other end of the terrace. The other five or so sat.

Worst atmosphere from away fans at your ground - Most of them. It's just not a good ground for atmosphere.

Amount of standing from their fans - Unknown due to lack of segregation. Atmospheres were poor because the ground isn't good and many teams have almost non-existent away support.

Worst ground visited - Stadium MK.

Stoned_Prof - May 10, 2008 02:35 PM (GMT)
Best Ground Visited - Cheriton Road (Folkestone Invicta F.C.). A proper football ground. Covered seating one side, covered terrace the other side and at one end, open terrace the other end. A close second would be Kingsmeadow (Kingstonian F.C. & A.F.C. Wimbledon), but the Kingston Road End lets it down a bit as the terracing isn't steep enough.

Worst Ground Visited - Northcourt Road (Abingdon United F.C.). Pleasant enough but a tad basic. Hard standing behind both goals, a one-step covered terrace one side, and a prefabricated seated stand on the other side. At the end of a public park with many football pitches. A close second goes to Short Lane (Ashford Town (Middlesex) F.C.) for similar reasons.
