i went to the metro radio arena last nite for the premier league and i kid you not, every single person in the seats were stood. what an atmosphere, every sort of song possible was sung. darts songs, newcastle songs ( :( ) , some sunderland songs and i even heard the odd boro song sung by a small group form boro!

darts is quality ;) good banter with crowd, good drink (pricey like!), guaranteed standing if you want. most people just moved if they wanted to stand i think from the floor. and most important the stewards weren't bothered in the slightest! they happily just watched and laffed at the great thing that is a darts crowd.

The play off final is in the International Arena in Cardiff this year, and I've got tickets. About 10 of us on a table near the front...gonna be absolutely brilliant.

Went last year and it was really good. £3.70 a pint mind, so a hipflask may need to be taken this time.

Really recommend it if it's in your city though.

I went to the one in Brum a few weeks back, loads of standing there aswell, i was at the back and everyone there stood all night. Some good banter aswell mainly between Villa & Blues, and there was even some trouble at the end between Villa & Stoke, there was 1 steward in amongst everyone trying to split it up, it was funny as fcuk watching him panicking :lol:

I'd love to go one of these, look quality from the tv

is it hell, i'll admit the crowd do make it what it is though.

but thats maybe becoz i play darts aswell at a decent and appreciate the skill involved with the premier league lads.

Darts is far from boring. I defy anyone to watch a match, especially when it gets to the latter rounds of the world championships, and not get completely sucked in by it. If you know whats going on (it fairly simple), the tension and excitement is incredible.

I'm not an avid fan, but when I see it, I love it.

I dont like the PDC its like the premiership made up by Barry Hearns for his own pocket. The BDO is the proper darts competition.
