Title: Ticket Reduction At Wigan?
stretford ender - April 28, 2008 06:36 PM (GMT)
Anyone else ever had a ticket reduction at Wigan? We have been allocated about 5,500 tickets for the last 2 years but this year we only have 4,000? Last day of the season and we can win the league and we only get 4,000 tickets
Im suspicious man utd have kept 1,500 for themselves and flogged them to corporates etc. Just cant imagine wigan given us a ticket reduction.

I'm not a betting man (lie) but I'd put my money on United creaming off the top

Heard somewhere that the Wigan ticket office confirmed that United were given 4,800. So 800 tickets must have got lost in transit  when United announced that we only recieved an allocation 4,000.
If we did get 4,800 then that's still 700 less than the last 2 years. Probably going to have netting over the front fews rows...

Spurs were given 5.500 a few seasons ago but only 4000 this time as well. I have it on good authority from someone at Tottenham that our old bill don't want that many travelling as it leads to certain less welcome lads from going. ;) Yours must be the same. Saying that you'll travel anyway with it being so important so can't see the point of it. We get reduces allocations all the time. 6.000 at yours 5.500 at the immigrants 5000 at the Geordies etc. The ob are salmons end of.

800 jcl's sitting pretty down the front?

Doesn't make a lot of sense reducing our allocation because there will be loads of United fans in the Wigan end. I'm going ticketless at the moment but will go in their end if a ticket comes up for there.

All the Pie Eaters will be offloading their Season Tickets to any reds they can. It's their last game of the season and completely meaningless.
Going by the town's average wage, they would be happy for 70 quid.
Reds are here, reds are there etc etc

by doing that they are asking for trouble means more united will be in the wigan end

[tufty]united did not cream off any tickets and never behave anything but impeccably to their fans who should remember how lucky they are to be priveleged enough to be allowed to support united[\tufty]

I thought from looking at the title of the thread that this was going to be good news, something along the lines of Wigan reducing the prices of their tickets!
I'm so optomistic sometimes!

They have done £25 this year we paid £35 last

Fair enough. So it's not all bad news then! £25 quid is quite reasonable for the premiership!
JTsBlueArmy - April 29, 2008 04:25 PM (GMT)
For us it was £20 in the league, £15 in the cup, exactly why I wanted them stay up

Bit unfortunate. I have only ever seen the whole end given out to away supporters at Wigan and nothing less
