Title: About Yourself.....
jackarmy - April 21, 2008 05:46 PM (GMT)
No im not a wierdo, just thought it would be interesting to know a bit more about one another than just our usernames.
Well, im Jordan McGuire, im 16 years of age, born on the 17th of March 1992 at singleton hospital, Swansea. I was brought up and still live in Llanelli (small town on the outskirts of Swansea), on the 19th of May i start my GCSE's, im sh*ting my self! Once there over and done with im going into an apprenticeship in Welding and Fabrication. I enjoy Fotball and Dogging ( :D ) and dislike MK Dons and Cardiff City. Since Saturday 3rd of May 2003 i have become an addicted, no, not to Heroine, but to a football club called 'Swansea City', and since August 2005 i have dissapointed with the lack of atmousphere, and im trying to bring it back.
Well that is me, nothing much, now your turns!

I'm Marcus, I'm 17 and live in Sudbury (small town in South Suffolk). Was born in West Suffolk hospital and have lived in Sudbury all my life. I'm doing my A levels atm. Got a season ticket at Town, stand at the back of the Lower North. Fav. music is Jamaican and 2 tone ska plus most rock, and like a bit of everything else apart from heavy metal, rap and RnB which I've never really liked.

I was born in the same hospital as Jon (Morriston), just 3 years earlier. I'm currently in Swansea Uni second year and am looking forward to finishing my degree, as I plan on going into probation work, and moving from Swansea. But will have regular visits back :D I've had a ST ticket for 7 years, and haven't missed a Swans game for 14 months.
Stoned_Prof - April 23, 2008 11:32 PM (GMT)
I'm Steve. I'm 17 and was born in Maidstone Hospital, Maidstone, Kent in July 1990. Have lived in Maidstone all my life. I'm doing A-levels in Maths, Physics and Chemistry, and want to study Physics at Imperial College London.
My music taste is centred around folk/blues/rock and related styles. Can't stand manufactured pop music. Favourite artist is Led Zeppelin. Favourite radio station is Planet Rock. Also follow local music a bit, and enjoy local gigs.
I became an armchair supporter of Chelsea when I was about 7 or 8. Have been to Stamford Bridge once (with the away fans, though). In 2002, I discovered that Maidstone United still existed (like most of the town at the time, I didn't know they had reformed after going bust in 1992) and went to my first live game. Started attending regularly in 2006 with some mates, and in 2007 became Vice-Chair of the Supporters' Club (which doesn't do much as we don't have our own ground and facilities yet). I now consider Maidstone to be my only team, and had a season ticket this season. Also have a regular column in the fanzine Show Me The Way To Go Home, which I have had for the last two issues.
I have been through Beavers, Cubs and Scouts and am now on the group committee, as well as helping to run the cub & scout sections. Hence, I enjoy camping, narrowboating and related activities, and am used to travelling.
I like ales such as Hobgoblin, Old Peculier and Bishop's Finger. Also have the occasional drop of whiskey or wine. Not keen on lager, and can't stand tequila, vodka or sherry. Haven't tried much else. Prefer traditional style pubs to sports bars/nightclubs.
Favourite meal is a roast dinner. Can't beat it.
My greatest fear is open heights.
Tend to have green/socialist political views, athough I have traditionally conservative views on a few things. Support the Green Party of England and Wales (or will when I can vote), but not only for their environmentalist stance. Am generally cynical of authority.
Most of my good mates tend to be slightly odd/eccentric in one way or another. That's why I like them!
That's all I can think of.

Is this just for 17 year olds & Nick?
Blackcountry Villa - April 24, 2008 10:45 AM (GMT)
I'm James, i'm 21. I live in Wednesbury, near Walsall in the Black Country. I work in an office, boring stuff but at least i can go on the internet when i'm supposed to be working. Been going to Villa games since i was 8, had a season ticket in the lower Holte with my dad and his mate from when i was 10 until i was 13, then we moved to the Upper Holte and then from the age of 15 i've had a season ticket at the back of the Upper Holte with my mates. I'm into all the usual stuff really, i play football, only for a local team now although i used to be good when i was younger and played for Wolves and Walsall academies, Walsall actually offered me a new contract when i was 14 but i decided to leave, i do regret that now. Love my Indie music. I like going out and getting rather intoxicated and obviously i have a big interest in females ;)

Dont know if I'd still get a season ticket if I was living in Brum or London for example, but I'd still be there a lot. I'd probably end up doing more away games than home games then. But thats in the future, as I say I haven't missed a game in 14 months and I want to carry that on for the next 14 months in Division 2 :D a lot of new grounds to do.

You're making that up! ;)
Never realised you were all so young! :P
Rob, 25, born and bred in St.Austell all my life. Only time away was living in Plymouth for four years whilst at Uni. Was born in hospital about 2 miles from my house. Parents live about half a mile away so haven't moved far.
First Argyle game was Gillingham at home in '96. First season ticket in 98-99. Until last Saturday I had only missed one home game in the last four years in all competitions. Only missed about three or four home games this century. Now I am banned for persistant standing.
I normally get to about 10 or so away games in a season. Best ever was 15 aways. Only had 5 this season due to buying a house for the first time and the missus being pregnant - due in 8 weeks. Planning on getting away more often next season again.
Music - Oasis, Beatles, Buddy Holly, Elvis, Foo Fighters, Girls Aloud (!), plus much much more.
Life - Teacher, runner (about 40odd miles per week), play a bit of 5 a side and squash. Not a lot else.
Likes - sport, music, the sea, Cameron Diaz, driving, racing (running), drinking real ale, drinking wine, drinking anything that is liquid and contains alcohol, long away trips (Done Hartlepool and Sunderland. Hoping Carlisle come up and was hoping for Newcastle and Boro to come down).
Dislikes - city life, tourists, crap drivers, not remembering who I text the night before and what I said, remembering who I text the night before and what I said.

Might as well raise the average age of this thread...
Koonal, age 24, born and brought up in North-West London (Mill Hill/Edgware). Lived in Nottingham for 5 years before heading up to University of York where I'm currently studying a Masters in Health Economics. Will be moving back due to Laandon in July to work as a Health Economist, which will make trips to WHL much more convenient.
Music taste ranges from hip-hop (clever soulful stuff like The Roots, Ty and Roots Manuva - no gangsta rap nonsense) to dance (breaks and techno) to soul. Favourite act is Daft Punk - geniuses. Also like cooking vegetarian food, smoking bud and independent travel.
I'm currently loving music festivals, ducks and Arsenal's trophyless season.
I'm currently hating having to sit at football, studying for exams (hopefully for the last time ever) and the smoking ban.

No he's not lieing. We like our complicated spelling in Wales. If you go to Mid and North Wales it gets even worse though. Theres a place somewhere up there thats 26 letters.
