Title: Fc United
Description: V Newcastle Bluestar

Joe Harvey took a holiday - April 19, 2008 07:51 PM (GMT)
Fc supporters were allocated the West stand but weren't happy as they had been told that if they stood they would be kicked out before the game. Sent one supporter up into the Newcastle Bluestar main office saying that every Fc supporter would walk-away in protest and boycott the game not giving bluestar a penny of there money unless they were allowed onto the terrace.

Needless to say it worked as Bluestar needed the money. Brilliant set of supporters.

Trouble is, Noogie fans of bigger clubs wouldn't get the same response!

Fair play to FC United.

Congratulations to:-

FC United we're promoted today. Over 3,000 fans turned up.

A couple of my (quite) local sides are in the Unibond Prem so hopefully I'll get back to see them next season.

Also AFC WIMBLEDON got promoted too. Conference south. Hopefully they'll soon be in league football where they belong.

FC United seem to be willing to boycott games to get their way. I think they did it before at an away game? It clearly is the only way to get the attention of the big boys.Fergie talked after the game today about how important the fans are.Worth a big name team giving it a try(against ticket prices?)

Good to hear about incidents of fan power in this country, shows we aren't that uniquely apathetic! Also good news to here about Wimbledon getting into the Conference South, shame MK dons got promoted however.

no united boycot will ever work, too many troutwits lined up to take tickets.

FCUM did boycott a game which got moved for tv times, attendance was about 200 if i remember, normally it would be 3k+.

Well done FC United. They won the play off final yesterday 4-1. Next season they will be in the Northern Premier (2 levels below the conference).

And well done A Fans Club Wimbledon. They won their play off final 2-1 so next year will be in the Conference South (1 level below the conference)

Great news for 2 great clubs :D

From a purely selfish point of view (well, almost), I have mixed feelings about this. On the one hand, from what I saw this season I thought Staines Town (the losing playoff finalists and 2nd in league) were the better side and deserved promotion more, and we'll be missing out on the pay-day of Wimbledon at home. On the other hand, I won't have to visit Kingsmeadow to experience the shambles of Wimbledon's "partial segregation", their high food prices and being stuck in the Kingston Road End all game not being able to see anything.
