Title: Dortmund/bielefeld
Description: Capacities

unibee - March 20, 2008 01:19 PM (GMT)
Planning a May weekender in Germany, possibly taking in,

Fri 2nd May - Dortmund v Nurnberg
Sat 3rd May - Bielefeld v Bochum

A couple of questions on ticketing. In each case ideally we would be looking to get tickets in the visitor standing block. What are the capacities of these sections at Dortmund/Bielefeld? & so what are the chances of getting tickets there.

Nurnberg to Dortmund on a Friday night is a long way so I guess the away contingent wont be that high (though on the other hand it will probably be a key game in their relegation battle). Bochum to Bielefeld is quite local so I think there'll should be a large away following here.

Cheers

Chris

I think Bielefeld's away terrace doesn't hold more than 1500. So I guess these tickets will all be sold in pre-sale at Bochum.
The capacity of the away terrace at the Westfalenstadion might be about 3000. Due to the match beeing a friday-night-game there might be a good chance to get away-tickets at the gates if you come up early. Nevertheless I wouldn't rely on that. But it seems like FCN also sells tickets for their away-games online: http://www.fcn-ticket-service.de/

Cheers.

Out of interest who do you support?

Hey,
just asked a Nürnberg supporter about the ticket situation for this game. They could either take 2.500 or 7.500 fans to Dortmund. It really depends whether Nürnberg will have a realistic chance of avoiding relegation. He gave me a URL of an English supporter club. So they may be helpful for your questions.

KFC were in the first division not long ago, that's quite a fall. The Grotenburg looks a lovely stadium though, the one ground below the 2nd division I'd really like to go to.

Thank's for the link Nihil, will definitely follow that up. We're thinking of trying to get something similar set up for Bochum.

Well, I've managed to get standing tickets at Bielefeld so I'm very happy. Only 10 Euro so they're cheaper than Frankfurt although I see that the visitor terrace has no roof and also doesn't actually face the pitch!

They are currently rebulding some part of the ground. We played there in August and inside the official guest block, you don't really feel you're inside the stadium. The view, especially when standing near the pitch, is horrible. But the rebuilding has progressed during the last months, so it may have improved now.
