I know nobody gives a $hit ;)

But I'm off to the states for 6 months tonight.

I'll still check the forum I will also post my experiences at 'soccer games' (still not used to using that word) I'm sure You'll all love that. ;)

Stay safe everyone.

Enjoy being part of a decent soccerball culture and visiting stadiums with atmosphere.

They alreay have thats the great thing. I wouldnt call it an underground sport but the fact its not long had a league 'soccer' has had a following for many years by hardcore soccer fans so now they have a league thats the fans who go to games.

Add - cheap tickets
Being able to drink in the stands whilst watching the games
Allowed to stand
Supporters section of their own
Practically no stewards or police
No cctv cameras
Large hispanic following
Some supporters given all the clubs season tickets for the supporters section so they can sell them to 'like minded' fans

All adds up to a tench load of fun!

Hi everyone,

WELL I'M HERE IN AMERICALAND.

After the 10 hour flight (Houston about 5 hours behind uk) I arrived at my new apartment and the first thing I did was plug in my laptop to the internet ready apartment (all part of the rent) it was weird surfing the net in another country when a few hours b4 I was in my house doing the same.

I was hoping to be in the same apartment building as I was last year but I couldnt get one, so I'm about 1 mile down the road its very nice very similar to my last one. Out back is a rarity for houston a garden. lol.

Anyway houstons first game is tomorrow not sure if I'm going or not I got no sleep yesterday (or is it today) and I know the jetlag will hit soon. I dont have to go to work until wednesday yippee!

I do have a question for everyone maybe you can help me out. I walked into my apartment started to look around got to my bedroom and there was a cat sitting on my bed it had no collar on it and I have no idea who's cat it is. My apartment bulilding only has one level but its raised off the ground and so I cant see it getting in by itself. So maybe it was from the last people in my apartment but why did they leave it? I guess I should contact the building manager but i quite like the idea of having a pet I've never had one and its really cute, jet black and when I stroked it it closed its eyes and purred it was sweet. But I'm a bit of a neat freek and i am worried about fleas and hairs.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Any questions about american life or american soccer in general lmk I'll do my best to answer them.

And amanda thanks for the advice. ;)

p.s Great thing about being a houston fan is over here houston is like Man U or chelsea, back in england I support a team on the verge of relegation to Div 3 over here I'm a glory hunter!!!

p.p.s Weather about 19°C and cloudy I've seen the forecast and its suppose to be 29°C this afternoon...HA!
