Arsenals fan base in my opinion changed when Fever Pitch came out, and attracted carps named Hugh, Henry, Tarquin, with their Pandora's Rosanna's and Phoebe's down there, where football is seen as a fashion accessory, not a love that will mean more to you than any woman ever could.
Tell you what, give me a working class fella called Mick, John or Dave sat next to me spewing vile at all and sundry, cause thats what hes done since the age of 8, a fella whos grafted all week and cant wait to get down there, have a pint ,see his pals, let a bit of steam off, and even if we lose he cant wait to be back there next week
thats what footballs all about
what trouting happened to the game I love ?
Banter is part and parcel of the typical working man, and the typical working man usually follows/watches football, and genuinly has the crack at football matches,ie joins in with songs/chants etc. Nothing malicious/nasty about it, its simply called banter. Now the new age football fan has arrived and its trouting up atmospheres on the terraces up and down the country.
If any of us breaks a leg at work, work colleagues usually take the piss etc, and all most of us have to look forward to is statutory sick pay, this forigne bloke on the otherhand breaks his whilst working and still picks his £60 k a week up

| I am not proud of what happened and I regret my behaviour, but I am beginning to realise how easy it is to create so called Hooligans from normally law abiding fans like me. It takes several factors to allow this metamorphosis. Firstly alcohol, which without doubt severely impaired my judgement. Wanting to rip off the head of a particularly nasty shaven headed Villa fan who taunted us with the Eduardo chant whilst he stood in the safe shadow of a policeman was just stupid, reckless and descending to their pathetic level. But somehow their provocative taunting had touched a raw nerve. I was not drunk you understand, three pints of lager is not excessive, two pints in the hour before the game and one at half time. I thought that I was in control. |
FFS the bloke who wrote that learn to handle your fcucking beer.

Good old tarquins! Met one in paris, lille away and he had pink gloves on
United sang that eduardo song at half time at fulham, wheres our website? we normally get one for everything else!
Villa fans at the emirates out of avfc would never wish that injury on anyone. Inisde the emirates at a football game, they sing it not to purely mock his injury, they sing it to aggrivate the other supporters, which in this case they have succeed with great success. Fair play.

i think that the fact the bloke who penned this article quite happily refers to the league as "the epl" speaks volumes. I hope those nasty villa fans didn't spoil his "matchday experience". <_<

In summary, there is already a thread about this and it isn't campaign related.
I'm toughening up, chaps...
