Title: Fao Spurs And Chelsea Fans!
Description: And anyone else not playing on Saturday!
watermelon man - February 19, 2008 02:02 AM (GMT)
Just an open invitation if you're stuck for something to do on Saturday. Come along to Underhill to watch Barnet play scummy MK Dons. We could do with the extra support (3rd lowest average attendance in the FL) and we all hate MK Dons so we could do with more vocal support as well!!!
Here are some reasons why you should consider it...
1) You get to stand on a terrace (a very nice one as well, good acoustics and our singing section is right next to the away fans).
East terrace picture! ...
East terrace on matchday! ... The singing section is the bit where the flags are at the back of the terrace. The away fans are next to us at the top end!
2) It's only £15, which is probably 100000 times less than the price of your carling cup final ticket (if you got one).
3) Barnet fans are great and will welcome you with open arms! We like extra support!
4) It's really easy to get to. 2 minute walk from High Barnet tube station!
5) We all hate Mk Dons so you will actually care about the result!
Please consider it. We play nice football at home as well!

Long way to go this Saturday, even though we are playing Friday night. I haven't been to Underhill yet so will go there in the next couple of years in my aim to the 92 grounds.
Hope you ruin MK Dons hopes of promotion :)

I really enjoyed our visit last season (despite the result) I will come down and stand with you on the east terrace sometime when we haven't got a game mate!

Cheers for the invite. Can't make it this weekend as I'm not getting into London until the evening, but best of luck against the scummers.
I've thoroughly enjoyed the three trips I've made to Underhill in the past, and when I'm based in London again (hopefully from October), I'll be sure to pay another visit.

Cheers for the replies. Maybe next time eh!
Johnny, did you go last Saturday? Did you hear what our fans were chanting about Liam Hatch. It was horrible. Was glad that he scored the goal!

Just general abuse of him calling him a paedophile and things. Fair enough if it's a player we hate but the vast majority of our fans love Liam Hatch. He was with us for 5 years and always gave 100%. We have a bunch of guys who like to get very pissed at away games and we don't get on well with them all the time!

Cheers for the good luck messages. They didn't work though and despite Barnet completely dominating the first 20 minutes and looking like running away with the game, we ended it 2-0 down. After Leary got sent off we were never going to get back into the game!
It could have been so different. They were 1-0 up and our striker Akurang was just about to score his first goal for the club when he was blatently tripped in the box for a certain penalty and red card offence for denying a clear goalscoring opportunity.
Unfortunately the ref somehow didn't see it. They went up the other end and scored!
I trouting hate football sometimes!

yeah I was there but didn't realise it was that bad! I read an interview with Liam and he said "I got some stick but it was all good natured" sounds like it was totally trouting out of order. glad you don't agree as thats well harsh, its not like we are close rivals is it!
unlucky today, I hope we turn them over at their place in 6 weeks time. If we keep winning, when we come to play you we should have a massive following. whats the max away allocation at barnet?

Yeah it was really bad. There was only a few of them doing it and they were all pissed. It's a shame and he will definately get a good reception next Tuesday. The overwhelming majority of our fans thought it was horrible! Nothing to do with rivalry they didn't like his attitude in the bar the day he left us apparently. There is no way we are rivals I like Peterborough. We can't not like you because you have Barry Fry!
Away allocation is usually 1,022 terrace places plus 240 seats. However, if the away following is large enough then you will also get the uncovered North Terrace behind the goal (capacity 680).
You could outnumber our fans in our own ground. Swindon did it to us last year on a Tuesday night around the same time. We were struggling and had nothing to play for, they were going for promotion. Was embassasing. We won the game though and outsung their fans! We always get terrible attendances on Tuesday nights, especially if Arsenal are on the telly!
