Police alert over water pistols
Armed officers were called to investigate a firearms incident in Gloucestershire - only to find children playing with water pistols.
Two teenage boys were "spoken to" by police after a concerned member of the public spotted them playing with the weapons in Churchdown.

Police are now urging youngsters not to play with toy guns in public.

Funny stuff.

I watched a reality tv show from the US and about 5 lads were playing golf all with 'real' guns strapped to their legs no-one battered an eyelid.

Not that I want the UK to be like the US.

But it really is silly.

Its not the police's fault but the idiot public.

Reminds me of a story I read a few weeks ago where a man dressed as Rambo at a fancy dress party had the police called on him because he was carrying a fake machine gun....Beggers belief.

yeah but the uk is getting more like the US each year the amount teenage gun crime you hear on the news these days is worrying

We're still along way from being as bad as the US, as far as gun crime goes.

oh yeah most definetly its more anti social behaviour than gun crime but some of these teenage gun crimes is really scary and how young they are as well really makes you think.

Having lived in both I think england is just as violent as the US but they have access to guns, give every teenager in the UK a gun and there will be just as many shootings as the US....probably more.

and the fact that we are a small island makes it all the more harder for guns to become dominant
