on saturday, Swansea, Wrexham and Cardiffs football games are being played early for some game kicking off at 4:30 which has men chasing an egg in small tight shorts, hugging each other and rolling around in mud. but no english games have been brought forward (its england V wales!!) this does my head in! just because im welsh, doesnt mean i like rugby!

Swansea V Oldham 14:00

Wrexham V Darlington 14:30

Stoke V Cardiff 12:30

all other fixtures, 15:00

I kinda wish for once that our game kicked off early so i could go watch the rugby afterwards!

Does my head in! just because I am not welsh doesn't mean i do not like rugby!

They shouldn't change around games for other sports, this is football, so football matters only should affect times

Swansea love changing KO off times, usually to a friday night. Last season we'd changed the 6 we're allowed to change, then when Wales football KO at 3 Swansea weren't allowed to change it. Maybe its fair enough they change it by an hour for Wales V England, but it bugs me when we move it to a friday night for Wales V Fiji or something, it leaves a saturday quite boring. I think it should be more limited as to how often KO times can be moved. Maybe could move 2 a season instead of 6.

Serves you right for having it as your national sport then ;)

i'm shure there's more footie fans than rugby fans in wales though

I doubt it they always sell out for the rugby games and could do 10 times over and then get 30,000 or something daft when they play germany in the same ground

Surely they should move it around if the other event would effect traffic etc.?

Yeah, but on the other hand, the football clubs get bigger crowds than rugby ones do most games. Overall its pretty even I'd guess, though there are a fair few gloryhunter type football fans about who I presume are the ones that filled it for the Euro 2004 qualifiers when there was actually a half decent team.

Whats bigger in Wales football or rugby? Wales rugby is massive, the Wales football team is not that popular as we rarely have anything to play for. The football clubs are more popular than the rugby, especially in Swansea, same stadium, but we average about 4,000 more than the rugby.

Rugby is more popular in the valleys and West Wales. Whilst football is more popular in Swansea, Cardiff and North Wales. Tommorrow the rugby will dominate the national newspaper, front page and all, but will then go a lot quieter for 10 months.

Which is bigger is very much up for debate.
