Title: Germany Trip

Gillsmad - January 29, 2008 05:43 PM (GMT)
Hey everyone, I'm off to Germany in February and I was hoping for some advice on obtaining Bayern Munich tickets in the home end against Aberdeen. I've tried going onto the website and I'm met with with http://www.fcbayern.t-com.de/de/ticketing/...65dfbd29aafacbe

is there a way I can get tickets? Cheers :)

Had a few browse of the site and it appears you can buy tickets at the following locations > http://www.fcbayern.t-com.de/media/native/...65dfbd29aafacbe

You could also email them aswell asking about tickets > http://www.fcbayern.t-com.de/en/note/faq/i...65dfbd29aafacbe

Cheers... I was struggling with the german on that site! Doesn't seem there was a translate into English option on the web page. I hope to get tickets somehow...

I'm going to 1860 Munich v. FC Augsburg this Sunday (after what should be an enjoyable weekend in der Beerkellern and clubs, drinking and trying to chat up frauleins with my appalling German) and noticed that the standing area of the Allianz Arena is actually pretty small in relation to the huge size of the place (69,000 capacity).

Only the ends of the lower tier are terracing, with 5,200 standing places each on the Nordtribune and Sudtribune (some of them for the away fans/segregation). I'm a little worried about getting on the terrace for 1860 as their support is apparently pretty decent despite Bayern's dominance and them being in the 2nd division, and presumably the terraces will be in a high demand (meaning priority given to season ticket holders and members) but a Bayern game might be even more difficult (though a seat would be no trouble).

Will be a good experience though whether I have to sit or not...and tickets for my game are £8.30 each, more than it costs to get into Ryman League grounds :ph43r:

Because of the UEFA regulations, the game will be officially an all-seater game. If you register at their website you can buy the tickets online. For the Aberdeen game, there are still about 2500 tickets available. Prices are between 25-50 Euros. As far as I can see, most of them are in the middle and upper tier. I assume that persons normally standing in Nordtribüne/Südtribüne will already have their tickets for the "singing" area.

True - however I know Platini was hoping to get a discussion on whether to reinstate standing for UEFA games at least that a couple of months ago. I didnt realise the Allianz had terracing - I went there in July and just missed the Stadium tour by 2 minnutes. :(
I presume the fans still stand in the old terraced area for all seater games then ?

Are all the standing places generally taken by season ticket holders/members at Bayern or 1860 games or is it possible to pay on the day?

Honestly, I really don't know.

But I'm pretty sure that the chances of getting tickets for the standing places are much higher at 1860 Munich. I think more than 90% of the competitive game of Bayern had been a sell-out. I doubt that there will be standing tickets for Bayern matches on the day of the game. But as mentioned somewhere above, write an email to Bayern for more details.

I'll see you there! It's a shame I couldn't join the Aberdeen fans, as I'd obviously prefer to see Aberdeen win than Munich, but there we go.

I hope you have a great time out there, no doubt I'll be drinking many before the game and hoping for a cracking game. :D
