Title: Christmas 2008
Description: Important

Blackcountry Villa - January 28, 2008 10:36 PM (GMT)
Just to let everyone know christmas day 2008 has been moved from December 25th to the 27th in order to accomodate live coverage on Setanta.

However if the 3 wise men are knocked out of the 'follow that star' tournament then the original date of the 25th will stand.

Our away game with Liverpool last week was originally on the saturday at 3pm, we sold out the 3000 in about 3 days, then about 2 weeks before the game because Blues v Chelsea was cancelled they decided to move our game to the Monday night instead meaning a lot of our fans who had already bought tickets, arranged travel etc couldn't go any more and were inconvenienced.

Our away game with Reading next month was meant to be on the saturday at 3pm, we sold out the 2100 in 2 days, then they decided to move it to a 12.30 kick off on the sunday, Sky rather than Setanta this time though.

Our away game with Man Utd was meant to be a saturday 3pm but they then said it will be a 1.30 game on the sunday on Setanta, however if Man Utd are still in the Champions League then the game will still be on the saturday  Fortunately the tickets aren't on sale yet but when they are our fans aren't going to know when the game is and if they can go or not

:D

I now know how teams must feel down south with TV shafting them all the time. Our last game was a Saturday 12.30 kick off (Setanta), our next game is a Sunday 12.00 kick off (Sky) and our next match after that is a Saturday 12.30 kick off (Setanta, away to Dundee Utd).

3 games on the trot on the box, trout no's why they wanted us 'cos we're tenche

I don't mind being on t.v. if they announce it a while before the game because obviously you have to be on t.v. sometimes but what annoys me is when they announce it a few weeks before the game when we've already sold all of our tickets meaning a lot of people's travel arrangements etc are ruined

TBF to them they've always gave us a bit notice although saying that Sky have trouted a few off our fans up for next week. We have fans coming from Newcastle, Blackpool, Liverpool, Aberdeen and Inverness etc everyweek and the first trains from these places don't arrive until well after 12pm meaning they'll have to come the night before or miss the match.

I'm not overly fussed with televised fixtures aswell TBH. With me just being a young pup (19) I was sortof brought up with televised matches. It also makes no difference to me anyway because i'll be at the match regardless of it being on TV or not. Also up here crowds are tenche, revenue is tenche, sponsor deals are tenche so we sortof rely on a bit TV money.
