Major mess up from United again with this it seems.
Useless and clueless yet again from the "biggest club in the world"

Not sure on the exact figure but i believe they sold a big percentage of tickets as part of travel packages.

600 on executives.
9 of us went to Kiev, nice of the club to repay the 9 of us by giving us 2 tickets for Lyon.

Apparently someone from the TO said that 50% of the people who went to 1 group game got a Lyon. Pretty much everyone i've spoken to so far who went to 1 group game didn't get one...

Don't pay attention to the front line staff their clueless or out of the loop. They tell you different story eveytime

I just still can't get over the way your club allocate away tickets, especially as they know the demand will far exceed tickets.
Lyon 40,000 capacity 2000 away tickets a lot of unhappy regulars. It's disgusting how absolutely no regard to loyalty is shown

I think in the end of the day for Euro aways IMO they do it the fairest way possible. Although I obviously don't like the fact that execs get first option when most of them will just sell them on or even worse, tout them. (some execs are alrite though)
Though in terms of ST holders and members, the group games away are collection with ID over there which means people can't play the system. If they don't collect their ticket over there then there blacklisted so they can't claim they've been even if they've paid for a ticket.
For knockout rounds if anyone has been to all 3 then they get first chance of a ticket. Then those who have been to 2 aways, then one away. Obviously with an allocation of 2,100 your going to get a lot of unhappy people who have been to the one away. (especially if you travelled all the way to kiev) But I cant think of a fairer to do it than they one they do for euro aways. I suppose they could do a points system where going to kiev was worth double what going to lisbon was.
Domestic tickets are a different matter where you now get people applying for aways just so they can get a cup final ticket, and then others applying when there just going to sell them on or tout them.

Ive read today off a united forum that people who had been to all three have been chubbed. Yet 50% of people who have been to the one have got a ticket (although yet to speak to someone who has a ticket).
Sounds like a major cock up. Aparantely a lad who had been to all 3 phoned the TO and said they had no record of him going to at least two of them. :o
Although if you fly and get accomodation with united and pay £300 for it you'll get one.

How do allocations work in European Cup/Uefa Cup, is there a guideline allocation?
yorkiebarkid - January 31, 2008 07:04 PM (GMT)
