What a waste of fu*king time
May as well give the prem teams a bye to the next round
I notice that Man U got a home tie again for the 99th out of the last 100 draws
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
jonboilfc - January 28, 2008 01:43 PM (GMT)
trout sake barnsley at home what a tench draw
Tufty - January 28, 2008 01:54 PM (GMT)
Home tie again? I seem to recall Villa away in the 3rd round.
Get your ABU head off.
Ryan - January 28, 2008 01:56 PM (GMT)
A home tie. :(
I haven't been to the Emirates yet, that would have been a good trip.
Atleast we didn't get a tenche home draw anyway!

I had taken Villa away into account
Note I said 99 out of 100 :P
who is ABU - the indian guy out of the Simpsons ?
BHB - January 28, 2008 01:58 PM (GMT)
Barnsley - interesting :ph43r:
Just a shame it's at home.
Utd 90210 - January 28, 2008 02:02 PM (GMT)
Hopefully our game is moved to 5:15pm rather than one of the early tv kick-off slots. Hope Arsenal take their full allocation if it's offered to them - will make for a better atmosphere.
No surprises that we got a Premiership team at home though.

You do know that the majority of our match going support would prefer an away draw.

I'm not knocking the fans. I have a grudging respect for most real Man U fans because I think they are a rare breed that make a distinctly real old fashioned atmosphere.
I am just lost for words at how many ties United seem to get at home. It's almost a standing joke now!
LH_88 - January 28, 2008 02:40 PM (GMT)
My heart sank as soon as we got pulled out as a home draw.
Suffice to say Uncle Malc will be rubbing his hands at yet ANOTHER guaranteed earner for him. What a 'coincidence'.

No, thats Apu. Your a disgrace :P
Tufty - January 28, 2008 04:29 PM (GMT)
would rather play Arsenal home than away to be honest.
Steve - January 28, 2008 04:50 PM (GMT)
Not much romance in that draw. Typical that the Huddersfeilds and Bristol Rovers would have killed for Man u or Arsenal away but what happens - they get each other. :(
jonboilfc - January 28, 2008 05:08 PM (GMT)
huddersfield got chelsea away though i would be lovin it if i supported huddesrfield and we got drawn against chelsea
gooner1 - January 28, 2008 05:15 PM (GMT)
Not the draw I wanted but atleast it's away. Hopefully Arsenal will take the 9,000 but going by what they did at Anfield last season, taking the 4,000 instead of 6,000, it wouldn't surprise me if they took 6,000 like spurs did on sunday. The FA cup game when we won 2-0 a couple of seasons ago was top notch with 9,000 there, please don't trout it up Arsenal. <_<
Reppz - January 28, 2008 05:28 PM (GMT)
West Brom at Home. Not too bad, could of been alot better, could of been alot worse.
Should be almost a sell-out and West Brom'll bring their usual 6,000. Shame none of them ever stand or make any noise though..
stretford ender - January 28, 2008 05:36 PM (GMT)
Remember you could get replays, i wouldnt mind arse away night match with 6k reds. Saying that id prefer to just beat them and get through.
Gunner Mike - January 28, 2008 07:36 PM (GMT)
Arsenal planning laying on coach, train and air travel for this one. Going on that im guessing they will be taking the full 15% allocation. 9000 at the very least
Blackcountry Villa - January 28, 2008 07:40 PM (GMT)
Crap draw apart from Man Utd v Arsenal and even that will probably be a let down after the media have hyped it up for a week leading up to it.
Struggling to see what other games they'll put on tv
Lawnmower Man - January 29, 2008 12:32 AM (GMT)
Unexpectedly good. Away day at the Gas, open terrace in the middle of February, should be a laugh :)

Would be great to see 11,500 Arsenal fans @ Old Trafford!
if only league allocations were higher, hey?
gooner1 - January 29, 2008 02:21 PM (GMT)
Only thing I'm worried about is that I'm geting the feeling that everyone wants to go and that means JCLs aswell. Horrible vision I'm getting of 9,000 Arsenal fans and most of them being absolute tossers. <_<
For United fans if we do take the 9,000 what part of the ground do we get ?

The Upper Tier behind the goal and the normal 3000 league allocation i would say

That's what I thought but Spurs took 6,000 and didn't they get the normal league allocation and the upper behind the goal. Or maybe they only got half of the upper tier behind the goal. ;)

I think Spurs had the normal 3000 league alloaction and half of the upper tier behind the goal which was also 3000.
When we went last year we had all of the Upper Tier behind the goal which was 6000
gooner1 - January 29, 2008 02:33 PM (GMT)
Alright cheers mate. Not too happy about having the upper because for some reason as soon as our fans go to an upper tier atleast half sit down. :( Only Europe you're guarenteed to have everyone stood in an upper tier. Hopefully it'll be different as it's such a big game and we are standing at most away games now but I just pray our support isn't full of JCLs.

If you are in the Upper Tier and your fans want to stand you won't have any bother from the stewards anyway, all of our 6000 stood in the Upper Tier last season and they just left us to it. Cracking view up there aswell
gooner1 - January 29, 2008 02:40 PM (GMT)
B) It's got the potential to be a top day but also to be absolute tench. We shall see.

Yh thats a good indication, although thats last method I wana be using to travel up there.
SLIM - January 29, 2008 02:56 PM (GMT)
I cannot see us gettin 11,000 some of the problems with this fixture in the cup over the years, is enough to warrant them limiting it to 9,000 aslong as Arsenal push for that.
It will probably be like the hairdryer fixture, with 6k in the upper tier behind the goal and the normal away section. Id love to get the lower tier like Coventry did though.
