Title: Scousers V Havant

stretford ender - January 27, 2008 02:07 AM (GMT)
So 6k Havant fans attend and its the magic of the cup. They join in YNWA at the end and also sing 'stand up if you hate man u'.

H & W is near Portsmouth if my geography is correct so will somebody care to explain why a team 7 leagues or so below us almost as far away as you can get from manchester is singing 'stand up if you hate man u'?

And their normal home gate is 200-600, where did their extra fans appear from? Obviously not glory hunters at all, we all know only 'man u' fans can be glory hunters.

shame they didnt win though :(

i know, you'd never hear your lot singing about a team your not even playing would you?

if they'd been singing "if you all hate scousers" at your place the whole ground would've joined in with them, small time trouters (not H & W)

Would they fcuk! only one block near the back of stretford end tier 2 sing 'if we all hate scousers clap you hands'. Its a trouting tench song and most people dont join in with it.

Most people would rather sing about our own team than about you c*nts! Just a few 'top reds' who think different!

Back to Havant, and fair play to ones who go every week who got to experience going to anfield.

I loved my trip to notts county with them when they won 1-0 in the second round. They had about 300 fans there who stood and sung all game. Felt chuffed for them when they beat swansea.

That kid crying when they scored just summed it up for them i bet. Hopefully he was a regular

Magic of the cup.

Felt chuffed for the team more than the fans. Will be intrested to see how many show up at there next home game!

Pretty ironic given the fact that United let H&W use their facilities to prepare and made them guests for the match today.

well we werent going to make them scouse salmons guests were we?

And standupsing i agree, i thought it was superb for the players and a top effort for them.
My point was 3-4k of the away end had not been to see H&W before. Same with trouting exter and burton albion when we played them.

Awwww didums everyone hates big horrible man u and everyone is out to get us.

Get real and stop talking pish. As you said they are 7 leagues below the Premiership, they then draw one of the countries biggest teams, that is the team and the towns cup final, and like all cup-finals you'll get 1000's of fans who have never been to a game in there puff. The whole city/town comes out for it.

I was more pissed off with the handful of gobtenches in the Main Stand next to them that stood up and applauded them! Couldn't hear the song, but guessed it might have been that, confirmed when I read this post.

I remember being at Elland Road in the mid to late 90's and they started the "Stand Up If You Hate Man U" tenche. Our end just stood there in silence. Leeds didn't get it. All scratching their heads wondering why we never joined in, then burst into "Liverpool Liverpool Liverpooool".

Couldn't really hear the Havant lot on Saturday, again, can't hear anything up the back of the Kop when we're singing. But could see a good few of them doing a "bounce" at times. Enjoyed their day out, fair play to them

LongtonLeeds - January 28, 2008 11:39 AM (GMT)
We always used to sing that damn horrific song at the start of every game during our european days. Thankfully it has gone now and i never hear it anymore (the kids behind me concentrate on other anti-scum songs until they got shouted down too) we dont need a song to get everyone stood thesedays anyway, standing at ER is 10 times more than what it was 5-10 years ago
