I'm not sure if this was in one of the video threads from before but I can't find the thread I was looking for....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LBBPoyXEOhM If only we could get that in England.

That last one organised by the club.
Anything to intimidate the opposition.
You can't take bottle tops into our stadiums.

Besiktas fans were awe-inspiring against Tottenham last season. They did the bounce too, as well as this chant - which must have sounded incredible at the stadium...

Besiktas have the best fans in Turkey, it's mental at the start with that bloke on the pitch leading them. Can't wait to see their game against Liverpool this week, it will put the so called 'best atmosphere in Europe' at Anfield to shame

That, above, is my favourite video for Besiktas!! Would just love to be right in the middle of that!!

I remember that against Tottenham they lost and played pretty bad but they never stopped singing. I remember some Tottenham fans on a forum taking the piss out of them for singing despite playing crap......some people just don't get it do they?

Tottenham fans, as you probably know, are very, very quick to turn on their own when things aren't going well. However, my experience from the Besiktas game involved nothing less than complete admiration. The Tottenham boards that I visited were filled with superlatives about how brilliant it was that the fans didn't stop chanting. The fact that they gave Berbatov a standing ovation went down superbly well.
It's just a real shame we can't engineer that sort of passion ourselves.

All to do with acoustics ;) . Portman Road apparently used to have the title of loudest ground in Division 1 until they knocked down the two old ends (which had brilliant acoustics). Layer road is surrounded by pitched roof stands so it is easy to keep sound in.
Although I have to admit Col U create a decent atmosphere, only the Lower North Stand sings at Ipswich anymore :(
BTW got any balloons planned for your trip tonight? Please wake up the Churchmans Ends while your at it.

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=04dmcdOHsJAHere he is again, i love the way he just puts his finger to his lips and everyone shuts up and it falls silent. Maybe this is the kind of power and legendary status Man Utd's 'country roads' man is looking for?!
ATFC Martin - October 23, 2007 11:04 AM (GMT)
Love it!!
Really does bring a tear to my eye to see what they've got compared to us.

I know this song has been posted before but still I challenge you to watch these videos and then try and get the tune out of your head :D
PAOK 1PAOK 2Haven't Liverpool recently stole this tune? Doesn't sound anywhere near as good when they sing it though!
ATFC Martin - October 23, 2007 05:48 PM (GMT)
LOL ... 2:26 in on the first video...... :)
Cool. Got it stuck in my head already.
Blackcountry Villa - October 23, 2007 06:20 PM (GMT)
You can't see their fans unfortunately but this song rivals the PAOK one for catchiness!:

How good was the atmospere at Beskitas today?
Pissed all over British atmospheres. Even the biggest games.

They're scum though. Turkey probs the only place in Europe I wouldn't go for a game.

Probably shouldn't have generalised them, but remember Leeds?

Remember it well. Can't exactly tar everyone with the same brush though.
The Leeds fans weren't exactly angels and never done themselves any favours, although sayin' that, apperently the two lads who died weren't involved, wether thats true or not...........?
If it was the other way round, a few fanatical turks at Ellend Road who started buring a St Georges cross and monarch flag in front of a group of loyalist nutjobs they would've got seeing to aswell, maybe not stabbed but a good kickin'.

I got in trouble at a game earlier this year when the guy forgot to take the bottle top off my coke. He asked for it back apologising because they have to keep them for safety. I told him it was ok and I was only planning to throw the bottle and not the top. some steward overheard me and tried to take my drink off me
