Title: Tickets In Holland

unibee - August 3, 2007 04:57 PM (GMT)
Has anyone here got any experience of buying tickets for Dutch games. I was looking at perhaps taking in Ajax-Heerenveen on the 26th August but it seems a bit of a nightmare since you can either buy an expensive tourist package or else have to go the Dutch way, which seems to involve having to get a clubcard (which is EUR 6 for 5 yrs and takes weeks to process).

Even then, I can't see any way to buy tickets online.

Anyone any experiences of the country (either Ajax or elsewhere) and any advice you can offer, thanks

Chris

Actually scrub that, I've found a few online ticket sites that sell at reasonable prices (Eur 35-45).

One thing though, what is the situation with the clubcard? I get the impression this is only necesarry at high profile games - eg Ajax-PSV.

Only watched a couple of games in Holland and that was a few years ago but we bought ours from the club, easy as pie. Like you say the big games would I'm sure be harder.

Have a good time!
