Thanks for posting those Nihil.

Provisionally I'd say Aachen v Kickers Offenbach will be my first trip, on 26th August, pending it being on the Sunday. We have our local derby at Brentford the day before so that would make a great weekend.

First weekender may well be the w/e of October 6th (Barnet are at Stockport which is the most depressing trip ever), as there are some great games.

BL1 throws up Dortmund v Bochum! But also Schalke, Frankfurt, Duisburg and Bielefeld at home. BL2 has Aachen, Koln, Mainz and St.Pauli, the latter is somewhere I'd really like to go to. Do they still play at the Millentor or are they in the new stadium?

Nihil, Cheers...Legend! :D

Will have to see what is cracking off as to when I go...

Unibee...Could you keep me updated as to what your doing like via a PM or something?
Still think it would be a good idea to have an SUSD trip out there ;)

They do. But at the moment they are reconstructing the ground in order to modernise and increase capacity. One stand is already demolished.

you missed the very special one: 2nd week 17-18.08: Schalke - Borussia Dortmund :D

what kind of help are you searching for? kick-off times and days should be announced ~4 weeks before match-day. Pre-Sale(also via Online-Ticket-Shops) should start around the same time. I may post these dates here as soon as they are announced.
Although Dortmund is looking forward to sell up to 50,000 season tickets this season it shouldn't be that hard to get tickets for the game against Bremen and definitely possible to get some for the match against Hamburg.

let me know if and how I can help you

I'm looking to see some games all over Europe this season but I would particularly like to see a couple in Germany. I want to see a game in Dortmund and maybe a game in Frankfurt and would maybe need some advice on the best way to get a ticket from England as I'm not just going to turn up without knowing i'm defiantly going to get in. I'm going to a Hamburg game this season but i'm staying with a friend in Kiel and she usually sorts me out with tickets. Are you a Schalke fan as I would maybe go to see them? Once I've decided where i'm going some advice on a good hotel would never go a miss and maybe some advice on some good clubs for a bit of post match partying.....Schön!!!

NihilBaxter - July 6, 2007 09:55 AM (GMT)
Some information about the ticket situation in Frankfurt.

The pre-selling for the games till Christmas starts in July.

17 July :Hertha BSC Berlin, Hansa Rostock, Hamburger SV
20 July :Karlsruher SC, Bayer Leverkusen, Hannover 96
24 July :VfB Stuttgart, FC Schalke 04

Tickets are available through online-ticketing at eintracht.de but the small amount of standing tickets is not available online. These are just sold directly at the club's two offical shops. A useful link is the english forum at eintracht.de where you can ask all sorts of questions e.g tickets or travel. You might even find some guys to get you a standing tickets. :)

I hope these basic information were helpful.

Feel free to ask if you have further questions.

the exact dates and times for the first five games of the season have been released:
have a look here: http://bundesliga.de/media/native/dfl/spielplan/bl-1-5.pdf

this is what I posted on another thread concerning tickets for Dortmund's Westfalenstadion ( http://z12.invisionfree.com/StandUpSitDown...p?showtopic=675 )
QUOTE

It is definitely saver to pre-order tickets directly at the club. You can pick them up at a certain office next to the stadium. Nevertheless at some matches it is possible to buy tickets directly at the ground but you'll have to be there very early (11-12am if the match starts at 3.30pm) and there's the risk that you might not get tickets for the south-terrace.
Therefore if you want to make sure to get tickets for the south-terrace: pre-order tickets at http://kartenvorverkauf-krause.de and they'll be mailed to you or go to http://www.bvb.de/ and book your tickets there. If you do so you could pick up the tickets at the stadium or let them be mailed to you (they are also introducing "print-at-home" at the moment).

tickets aren't on sale yet because they are still selling season-tickets and a date for "free-sale" is not yet announced. If they do, i'll let you know.

At that date you should definitely be able to order standing-tickets for example via the online-shop. Maybe you'll find some more useful information at the thread i posted above.

Maybe Phill might also help you preparing your visit because he visited some german grounds last season(e.g. Dortmund)

----
/edit: sorry, i have to correct myself: Borussia Dortmund announced some changes concerning ticket distribution today. Beside changes in away-season-tickets and tickets for fan clubs they have now sold more than 47,000 season tickets and will sell up to 50,000.
Furthermore 22,600 of the 24,112 Südtribüne-standing-tickets are already sold as season tickets. The remaining 1,500 standing tickets may also be sold now (if people want to buy them) and thus NO standing tickets in the home-end would remain for free-sale.
So I can't say how the chances will be to get standing tickets for Dortmund's ground. Nevertheless you should always(expect the big games against Bayern and Schalke) be able to get tickets.
