Has anyone been?

I am hoping to go sometime next season, was just wondering if anyone had experience of ease of getting tickets, best place in the ground to go, how to get there etc.

I went a couple of weeks ago. I'm afraid I didn't enjoy it.
It's easy to get tickets, just go to any Fnac shop in Paris. Unfortunately, most people can't buy tickets for the ends - I think they're reserved for members and season ticket holders - so you'll have to pay more for the boring side stands. The only section you'll be able to go in which made any noise was block G, in the corner between the Paris and Auteuil stands. Mostly though, the fans are boring and sit all the time and you can't even get a beer in the ground! I hope it'll be better if you decide to go , but if I were you, I'd try and make a German game instead.

Try not to get shot either.

Well I have been once and I have to say it was the best atmosphere I've ever heard. Although it was when the ultras have free reign I think they are having problems at the moment which would dilute the atmosphere a lot.

There are right wing ultras but not all.

Unfortunately, you won't be able to get a ticket in the Boulogne.

I went at the beginning of the season when they got beat off Lens but the atmosphere was still amazing. My advice is not to go in the Boulogne or Auteuil ends. Tickets for these areas are for sale for about 9 euros but they are full of racist nazis ultras who don't take too kindly to English people. I sat in Block A Bleu Haut Presidentielle and paid 26 Euros/ 18 quid, it is in the corner close enough to the Boulogne to appreciate the atmosphere . You can buy beer in the ground and drink it in your seat. Unlike in England everyone takes there seat as soon as they go in the ground so no queue for a pint. Be aware there is regular bother and riot police have no problem wading in. Try not to crack on too much in English cos someone will smack you without thinking. Still the atmosphere will be like nothing you will see or hear (LOUD) in Britain. For a safer but nearly as good atmosphere try Hamburg.

They must have changed the rules since, because there was no alcoholic beer at all on sale when I went.

French crowds are like english ones in the 1980's, pretty much any ground or match trouble could happen, but if you stay clear of the ultras (usually behind the goals) you'll be fine.

TBH although violence is of course not encouraged on here the fact that french stadiums aren't lego, bland new stadiums full of families it was very refreshing.

not all there ultra groups are right wing, i dont think the lutece falco ultras are anyway :D id love to go there tho
